You know, I'm tired of it all. I've become so dull. I've lost my point. I have not been virtuous. I've let the flesh run for too long...

This isn't easy for me to say... I've made compromises. I've gone against what I've stood up for. It just seems easier that way. After all, everyone else is doing it...

We're called to more though. We're called to be in the world and not of it. I've been lukewarm... This is a problem that must be addressed and it won't be easy. It's going to take time. I'm not perfect now, and I won't be perfect later... But I can be better...

I need to pursue Christ whole heartedly. I need my brother's and sister's encouragement. I can't do this on my own. God has given me loved ones. I'm not supposed to just be there for them but they're there for me also.

For starters, I'm cutting back on movies. I'm not going to just watch anything because it's cool. What does it say? What does it stand for?

Philippians 4:8 (KJV)

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

What I do, what I watch, what I listen to. Is it true, or honest, or just, or pure, or lovely, or of good report? Is there any virtue? Is there any praise? Is there a message? What is the point? What GOOD am I getting out of it?

We need to ask questions. We can't settle for what the world gives us. We have to strive for more. In our media, in our social life, in our personal life.
