Monday, May 19, 2008 Jeff Alford releases new album "Dreams: Heart of Trance Part II" Aardvark Dance and Jeff Alford team up once again for the release of his new album "Dreams: Heart of Trance Part II" due out in July 2008. The album has already received support from top international DJ Yahel. The Israeli DJ offered Alford a 1 hour slot on his DI radio show to promote the album and Alford's GTS - The Global Trance Session. Alford said: "Getting support from a 28 Dj in the world Dj Yahel is simply wicked, I know that it will open more doors in the near future". Jeff continued by saying: "What you heard in my live act is just the beginning, there is much more to come as changes in sounds are constantly being made to reach perfection in the mix. Alford and Aardvark Dance came together back in 2006 to work on the psytrance album "Heart of Trance" - with singles that went on to hit radio, record pool and DJ charts around the globe. Alford even went on to scoop up an international video award for "Visions in Space". There are producers who understand the collective psyche of the dance floor and there are those who don't. Alford is very much the former. Alford has made a name for himself creating multi-layered gems that push the buttons of the mind, body and soul. While accusations of 'by the number' productions have been levelled against recent trance and psytrance releases, the same can't be said for the 12 tracks that feature on Dreams. It's the passion that hits first - clearly heard in the highs, the lows and the wee dark places in Alford's tracks. It makes for evocative experience. The album kicks off with ' God in ourselves', a powerful, deeply rhythmic track with dark edges punctuated by undeniable moments of unconstrained euphoria. Alford's trademark use of spaced out acid synth sounds is pure head candy. 'Essence of eternity' gives a glimpse of Alford's playful side. The big bass sound and punchy synths gel together in a way you wouldn't have thought possible. Things get epic with ' On top of this world', atrack goes back to one of Alford's favourite subjects: galactic activity. The music here reflects that mood and enters a distinct psytrance space once again; strong beats mixed in with an effective sample set. 'The path to enlightenment', ' Healing effects' and ' Greater than the sunlight' mix psytrance with Alford's love of broken beats with stronger kicks, heavier sounds and percussion. These are morning monsters for any psytrance floor.''Fly with an angel' and ' Love of the earth' show that Alford can still get loved up with his psytrance.
