Dilatazione – Too Emotional for Maths
I listened to this while I was feeling sorry for myself tonight. It was a pretty standard Post-Rock set up, mostly instrumental. The vocalist only stepped up occasionally, it was in French too. I don’t know about you, but I like the language, so it added to the music. Oh well. Enjoy.

Thank You!
June 2009 has been the most popular month for this blog to date. With that news comes an announcement. I have deleted all my “personal” posts, and decided instead to make this devoted to music. My personal posts have either been deleted, or moved to my new blog, Mistake, Mistake, Mistake.
Lets take a deeper look at the stats.
And there you have it. The crowd has spoken, so with that, welcome to my now 100% music blog. While you’re reading this, don’t forget to check out World Police and Friendly Fire. That blog will always be better than any of mine, and it’s an honor to be one of the authors.

Please, please, PLEASE check out my line-up of links I added called “Support the Music.” I’ll be adding more links to there as I go, but be sure to support the music you’re getting off here for free. I know it seems like I post a lot of these and that I may come off as a “music communist.” But I actually devote quite a large portion of my budget to buying music. My vinyl collection reflects that. It’s unrealistic for any of us to buy ALL of our music, but pay what you can. Artists need to eat too.

June, 2009 – Favorites So Far
I’m almost about to hit 1,000 file transfers already. No doubt, many of those are just from Googling the name of the album. Well… I can’t win everything. But still, I feel we should have a recap on the top posts thus far. So, here are you top ten downloads. According to you guys, this is the shit we shouldn’t pass up. BEHOLD.
1. At the Drive-In – In/Casino/Out
This, by far, is one of my favorite Post Hardcore bands. Fuck that. They ARE my favorite Post Hardcore band. These guys hailed from El Paso, Texas. A lot of people talked about how epic they were. The almost masturbatory reviews weren’t undeserved either. If these guys broke up while I was a fan of them, I’d probably cry, cry like a high school boy still recovering from his petty first break up as he listens to Yellowcard.
2. Us, Haunted Bodies – Self Titled
These guys are some pretty bitchin’ Skramz. I don’t use goofy 1970’s slang for nothing either. The album keeps me entertained the entire time it’s spinnin’ on my phonograph. A few notable things I liked about this was the amount of energy put into it, and just the style of vocals. They pleased my ears is all.
3. I Wrote Haikus About Cannibalism in Your Yearbook – Eight Song Demo
This is a very notable Skramz band. They also just released their discography which I am re-hosting on my blog. Look under the Skramz category. It should be fairly recent. Anyways, I digress. The sound is rather unique, and they will be missed in the Skramz community. To prove this, I can’t count how many MySpace bulletins I’ve seen of people acting like giddy little girls over the release of their discography.
4. La Quiete – La Fine Non e La Fine
Why are Italians so fucking good at making Screamo? I’ve always had an ear for La Quiete and Raein (they share a few members). I want to say this is a solid Screamo record, but that would make it sound generic. It’s not, and it was executed quite well.
5. Anton Bordman – Where Do Dolls Originate
This is a rare find. The vinyl is kind of common, but the file transfer for some reason or another, is not. I had to upload it on my phonograph myself. The thing that I like most about the album I think are the lyrics. I FELT LYK I CULD RELATE TO THESE HARTFELT LYRICZ A LOT, MAN.
6. Orchid – Totality
This is marketed as a Orchid discography. It’s close, but not quite all of them in reality. Anyways, it was a pretty accurate portrayal of Orchid. Being a pioneer of Screamo, this is a pretty solid set of tunes. My favorite are the two tracks of Intelligable Audo and She Has a Cold, Cold Heart together. You can’t appreciate either of them if you only listen to one.
7. 65daysofstatic – The Destruction of Small Ideas
This is probably on here because I’m sucking on the hits-nipple that is worldpolice. If you’re completly out of the loop, I contribute there now to help my dear friend Stacey keep shit regular. I guess I’m also a go-to guy from teh Skramz or something. I don’t know. I’ve gotten way the fuck off topic. Anyways, this is a solid Post Rock band from Britian that I can get into. I don’t know. Their not face blown off epic, but they are quite good. I always enjoy their shit.
8. Sorry no Ferrari – Oh Snap
This is one of mah favorite Math Rock bands. They just play tunes that make my ears have fun. I don’t know. That sounded really dumb. I thought it was clever. Anyways, it’s pretty easy going, a fun listen. I’ve always found them relaxing, but not in the slow way that much of my Ambient stuff does.
9. Bitcrush – Epilogue In Waves
Again, I think this is popular mostly because I posted it on Stacey’s blog. But it’s a good Ambiet album anyways. It has an Electronic touch to it as well. Umm… deno what else to say. I suppose I could just copy and paste what I’ve already written on this album, but I’m too lazy. It relaxed me during finals week as school has only just gotten out for me. To be honest, that’s why I posted it. But don’t get me wrong, I liked it.
10. Amanda Woodward – La Decadence De La Decadence
This band is okay. I’m not sure I would have put them on the top ten, but you guys liked them. Their a French Screamo band, I think their dead now… then again how many Skramz bands are there still running amok anyways? Nothing too notable, just a Skramz record of a fairly decent caliber.
HONORABLE MENTION: Piglet – Lava Land
Alright guys. You fucked up. All in all, I’d say most of those were some pretty decent records that I like to listen to a lot myself. But what the hell? This band rules, I could listen to them for days without getting bored. It may very well be my favorite Math Rock band. It just gives me so much energy… and shit. These guys are quite talented. Just take my word on it. GOODNIGHT BLOG, IT’S TIME FOR ME TO GO TO BED. I was up way too late last night.
Also, I’ll periodically post these top ten lists. Probably everytime they chagne significantly. Or maybe top five, or whatever. Who cares.
