About
Jeffrey James came from the desire to preform. Tonguesonpaper is the a solo project by the same artist, but it was un-performable because it was created with mostly synthesizers and computer generated sounds. After a few years dealing with the limitations of electronic music Jeffrey James decided to go in the other direction and try for an organic, swingy folk sound. Mainly a indie/folk sound characterized by a 6/8 preference and a European folk instrument setup including accordion and upright bass. though there is the hope to find a tubist to collaborate with. the lyrics are inspired by mostly realizations of truth and life changing thoughts and events. writing since the age of 16, the words are put just the way he wants and he only writes when he feels the need. It's never about just making a song, it's about saying something that matters. Jeffrey also plays the drums in an instrumental band called, 'Out of the Silent Planet' and is part of a duet, 'Enfin' with another singer/songwriter named Savannah Louise.
