Mr. Jeffrey Walk has distinguished himself as an accomplished trumpet player, educator and clinician. Mr. Walk is currently Director of Instrumental Music at Regis High School and Middle School in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. A native of Wisconsin, Mr. Walk earned his Bachelor of Music - Trumpet Performance degree, from the University of Wisconsin -Eau Claire where he studied under Robert Baca. In May of 2004, Mr. Walk graduated with his Master of Music degree in Jazz Trumpet from the Manhattan School of Music in New York City.
Mr. Walk actively maintains a busy freelance schedule performing nationally at clubs and festivals. Over the years Jeff has performed with several well known artists most notably Quincy Jones, Christian McBride, Herbie Hancock, Slide Hampton, Dick Oatts, John Clayton, Terence Blanchard, Jon Faddis, Dianne Reeves, Arturo O' Farrill, Mike Abene, Billy Childs, Randy Brecker, and the Minnesota Orchestra Trumpet Section among many others. Mr. Walk has also served as lead trumpet with The Supremes, The New York Voices, The Mills' Brothers, The Jimmy Dorsey Band, Little Anthony and the Imperials, The Guy Lumbardo Orchestra and Five by Design just to name a few.
A DownBeat magazine award winner in 2000 for Outstanding Jazz Soloist, Mr. Walk has performed at well known venues such as Birdland, The Jazz Standard, The Nuyorican Poets Café in New York City and the Hollywood Bowl, Paramount Studios and the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles. Mr. Walk continues to study and has been fortunate enough to musically expand under the tutelage of luminaries such as Charley Davis, Lew Soloff, Bill Adam, Robert Baca, Garry Dial, Justin DiCioccio, Bobby Sanabria and Uan Rasey.
