I'm not going to be blogging for a while. I've become very frustrated with how acceptable it is to completely live your life online. Most people I know aren't this way, I'm talking about the phenomenon of breaking up with your boyfriend/girlfriend by changing your myspace page to single, but never talking to them about it. Or people who live a complete alternate life on the video game Second Life. A lot of people use the internet for information or as a more convenient way to keep in touch with long distance (or not so long distance) friends and family. Which is good. The internet is a tool to reach a mass of people whether that be for marketing, advertising, information, reference, whatever. Even meeting new people for dating, clubs, ect is fine. But now it's too the point where every second of your life is spent online and that's the only way you can function, you only talk to your friends online, you only update people about your life online in one mass email or blog or whatever. Now people can use the internet to hide themselves from people and not ever have to do anything face to face. Then these kids are going to grow up (maybe) and go out into the real world and realize they can't call in to work by just changing their myspace profile to "sick". Changing your myspace profile to divorced doesn't make it a legal divorce. And spending all day on Second Life or World of Warcraft isn't going to pay the bills.
I guess I feel like I've become too impersonal in my relationships. I don't have a lot of good friends and now I rarely talk to them in person because i figure a blog will cover all my bases. I don't want to have relationships like that. So I'm not going to blog for a while. So any of my good friends can expect to get more individual emails from me and possible a few phone calls from time to time. I think I am an easily misunderstood person and just reading something I've typed without hearing any tone-of-voice probably doesn't help so the occasional phone chat is probably a good idea.
I do like a blog though. just to be able to go back and read what I've written in the past or the little random thoughts I have that aren't important enough to call anyone about. But for now I need to get out of the habit of using that as my main source of communication.
So long cruel fake world...

I will look forward to a personal email from you from time to time. That's one reason I don't email you too often if cuz I always thought it might bug you and you preferred me just to read you blog when you had news. I find myself checking your blog every other day hoping for news. I miss you guys and like to hear how life is! It is a bit harder to get me on the phone - but you are always welcome to call me too!
