Waiting on Tables.

As we move through out life we at times try to find out why we are where we are, and sometimes we find no answers. This is hard, especially when we are faced with redeveloping ourselves. Into day's markets, many people across the world are being faced with redeveloping themselves, and many are faced with doing new things, things that they never thought they would have to do before.
It would be small of me to say that these are trying times; however, these are the times that make us into who we are. If not for these times, many would not find out the truth about themselves.
For myself, I have had to learn how to wait tables. Yes, it is something I thought and have said I would never do, but when your back is against the wall, you start to reach for things inside, things you did not know existed. I have had to learn how to deal with the one thing I have never really dealt with, and that was me.
In these last couple of weeks I have found that there are so many things about myself I did not know, and so many things I could do. I have found that the greatest gift given to me is the gift of just being me. For many this is so hard, for many learning how to adapt to a new place in this life would mean they would have to give up the old them and become a new person. For some this could mean losing everything they thought they had. This could mean being looked at as something either less or much more than they were. For some this could mean, giving up on trying to fit in and just standing alone.
I have come to realize in waiting tables that you can not look down the road, but you must take one table at a time, and the same is in life. You must take one minute at a time, and in that minute change the course of the lives to follow you in the future. This may mean learning a new language, this may mean reading books, and this even may mean changing the way to speak or look. However, the key is having the ability to change, and this is something many either have a fear of or they desire to continue to dwell in.
Waiting on tables is not the end of my life or the end of my career; it is only the beginning of the greatness which is inside of me. Moreover, it is my duty to see and feel that greatness. It is my duty to be able to discover the treasure within.
You can not be anyone but you, and you can not do what everyone else is doing, you must at all cost be you. However, in that you must learn your faults and your qualities. Yet, you must be able to learn from yourself, and be willing to change if need be. This comes down to those who you allow into your circle. For if you have to many people just like you, you will never be who you can be. Because, there is no one there to challenge your views, no one there to make you grow, and no one there to motivate you to become. Those who are like you are only there to keep you the same, just like them, thus keeping you right where you are, never living up to the greatness you already supposed to be.
Therefore, look at your life as a being moments where you are waiting on yourself, and how much you make is determined on how well you do. For some it will be there ability to communicate, for others it will be there ability not to keep visiting the failures of life, kind of like, coming back to the table to many times. Then it could be not being able to stay consistent or when someone does not give you the tip you desire, but not getting mad; yet, having the well to press on, in spite of.
For these are some of the things that can either stop us or motivate us to do better. Waiting on tables, is not the point, for we must realize that waiting on life is the key, and the "tip" will, be the amount you have put into yourself.
