Man v Machine

I was reading an article in the Vibe with Jay-z on the cover, and the article was about OBama's effect on African Americans, and those who were apart of the civil right movements. It taught me how far we have come, but it also showed me how far we have to go. Some people were affarid that OBama was not black enough, and whats funny, when Tiger was coming on the scene and did not grab the torch of black power by the horns, we were mad but still called him black enough. Because when he won his first Masters event, the black nation as a whole felt they had won.

Now that was a sport, it is funny, that when a man is running for the most racist office in the land that some have the audacity's to say he is not black enough or he's a Muslim. To be frank OBama maybe blacker than Tiger, if there is such a thing as "blacker." Now, I have to say, I at first, did not believe that OBama would make it this far, because I did not think that Hilary could be beaten. She had been groomed by her husband to be President, Bill has said himself that she would be a better President than him. However, some how the fates destined OBama to be the first viable candidate since Jesse Jackson.

Now McCain on the other hand has, as we all know, traveled a different road, his father and grandfather both being men of war, and he giving the greatest sacrifice other than death, in being a POW. No, I do not agree with McCain on many issues, yes, I think he is to old for the office, and "I will get back to ya," when it comes to Palin. However, even though McCain has been in public office since I have been alive. He will be hard to beat in November. Because, he is a good man and fought a good fight to get to this point.

Many have talked about a dream ticket, and if George Washington would have had his way, there would not be a two party system. We were one line in the Constitution from not having a two party system, don't believe me look it up. Anyway, a good dream ticket would be an OBama, McCain ticket and here is why. OBama brings to the table the cooler head, that will learn the situation before acting on it, while McCain gives you power of force needed to carry out something when the decision is done. If you search history you will find that before the Civil War the VP was not associated with the same party as the President. Whoever came in second, would be the VP, now that would not work today, as back then, nothing would get done. However, we are at a time in America where everyone wants to be bipartisan, this would be the time to be bipartisan.

OBama is my dude, but like John Kennedy, OBama has a lot to learn. when Kennedy took office he was faced with the "Cuban Missal Crises." Then the bay of Pigs," which almost killed his Presidency out the gate. Kennedy made a lot of mistakes, but we did not get the chance to see how he would pull himself out of the muck. Yet still, Winston Church Hill made many mistakes while leading the Navy of Britain, but he rebounded and became one of the most powerful men of "World War 2." What I am saying is that we as African Americans must not only support OBama, but we must not crown him as our own, because when he wins, he will be the nations and the worlds as a whole. The decision he makes may not be what we as black folks would like. Because before he was born he was Gods, and when he dies so shall he be again, his duty is not to us, but to God, himself, his family, and his nation. Lets, support him not for his color but for the content of his character, at least that is what King said, Dr. King ordained this man, because I believe that when he was on the mountain top, and when he looked over, he say OBama, standing as a racial divide leading us into the future.
