Tuesday night is a night that changed the world, not just because we elected a person of color, but because we elect a man that embodies the spirit of Lincoln. Some may try to compare Obama to Martin Luther King or other black leaders. However, I believe that this is very unfair to Obama. Because, Obama is the for coming of the age of dreams and prayers. Moreover, he is not those people, Obama is a man unto himself, and a bridge to the future of America.
Obama, is more than just a President, he is the proof of the future, he is the change that the future has been waiting for. Now, how we carry ourselves during this time is just a important as President Obama carries himself. The time has come for changing our lives, and focusing on the things that got Obama to where he is. Obama, is first of all a student, and learning is very important to this man, so we as a nation of people must follow in the foot steps of Obama.
This not a time to relax, this is a time to go hard for whatever it is we desire; however, the level of class is very important. It is time to become up graded. We must become up graded in everything we do. In the future it will not be a question of color segregation it will become segregation of information. For those who are not informed will not be able to step up. With area of Social Media dawning, and with a President that knows, and used it well. It is time to grow up, and stop acting like the Internet is a party. This is now a business, and know one can hide, no amount of changing your name on sites, will be able to hide you from the internet.
This thing we have with Social Media, this President we have, is not anything to play with. We are standing at the the future of American and those who can not move with it, will not only be left behind, but will be left out. President Obama, is a leader that will demand the nation become as great as can be, and will not allow for smallness. I believe, and I hope that Obama makes none of his policies based on color, because color should not matter on his policies. For Obama is one that pulled himself up by his boot strapes, and should inspire us all to do the same.
However, just like Lincoln, Obama will be able to feel you pain and he will be able to share in your success, but he will not excuse the lack of being lazy, and the lack of class. Obama, is a leader, and I hope he makes it clear that fathers must stand up and be fathers rather than rolling stones. This is what it means to change, so many people have been talking about change, but the question will become if you are willing to except change.
We must be about our Presidential Swagger, and that means pulling up our pants, that means dressing with class and pride. We must stop hiding behind the false names that sites give us, because we don't want to be Googled. Obama, has raised the bar so high that either you look to reach it yourself or you stay stuck.
There are no more excuses it is time that w grow up and take pride in who we are and what we are about. Now, this is not about color but it is more about the nation at hand. This is about all people, this victor is about all humans. None of us are greater than the others. We must stand with the President Elect and carry his mantel and his ideals to the next level and the next generation of Americans. The time has come to be change and not just talk about it. The time has come that we grow up with out use of the Internet, for this media is a business and if you can not understand that, you might need to go back to transistor radios.
Let us, for the next four years and beyound do all we can not to embarrass our President, with the tone of our actions, and the childish pics, blogs, and other things we as a nation place on this space. Yes, but let us from now on have class, and not ignorance.
