Find the Fame Within

Inside of you is the greatest person ever put forth on the earth, what you have to do is find your own fame. Your personal fame, I am not talking about the fame that would have to walking around with your head in the air, but the kind of fame that will allow you the ability to change the world around you. Many people have stories, they have things that they have been through, that if told to the world, would not only change their lives but could change the lives of others.

Your fame is not defined by the number of people that know your name, but your fame is defined by the number of people that have been impacted by what you have to say. Now, many people will not like what you have to say, but if it is relevant, you will not have to worry, because negative press is still press. Your voice matters, your opinion matters, even if it only matters to you. We, in this nation have been so trapped by being famous that we have lost the true essence of fame. Fame is not the cars you have or the house you own, but fame is the ideal for which you stand for. Fame is your ability to become the true you, the you that you have locked away because all you can do is watch others be famous.

As I grew up, I was told that many famous people were snobs, well, in truth many of the people who have had this view were the ones that were snobs. What defines you should not be the amount of people that know your name, but what defines you should be that your name stands for something. When you die what will they say about you, for many, this is not something they care about, but for others this is something that should always be answered. We who have baptized ourselves into the world known as Social Media are on the brink of change the world as we know it. The power is in our hands, and if we don't take hold of it, then this moment will pass us by, we will become lost to the ideals by which the new frontier has given of itself.

Waiting on Tables.

As we move through out life we at times try to find out why we are where we are, and sometimes we find no answers. This is hard, especially when we are faced with redeveloping ourselves. Into day's markets, many people across the world are being faced with redeveloping themselves, and many are faced with doing new things, things that they never thought they would have to do before.
It would be small of me to say that these are trying times; however, these are the times that make us into who we are. If not for these times, many would not find out the truth about themselves.
For myself, I have had to learn how to wait tables. Yes, it is something I thought and have said I would never do, but when your back is against the wall, you start to reach for things inside, things you did not know existed. I have had to learn how to deal with the one thing I have never really dealt with, and that was me.
In these last couple of weeks I have found that there are so many things about myself I did not know, and so many things I could do. I have found that the greatest gift given to me is the gift of just being me. For many this is so hard, for many learning how to adapt to a new place in this life would mean they would have to give up the old them and become a new person. For some this could mean losing everything they thought they had. This could mean being looked at as something either less or much more than they were. For some this could mean, giving up on trying to fit in and just standing alone.
I have come to realize in waiting tables that you can not look down the road, but you must take one table at a time, and the same is in life. You must take one minute at a time, and in that minute change the course of the lives to follow you in the future. This may mean learning a new language, this may mean reading books, and this even may mean changing the way to speak or look. However, the key is having the ability to change, and this is something many either have a fear of or they desire to continue to dwell in.
Waiting on tables is not the end of my life or the end of my career; it is only the beginning of the greatness which is inside of me. Moreover, it is my duty to see and feel that greatness. It is my duty to be able to discover the treasure within.
You can not be anyone but you, and you can not do what everyone else is doing, you must at all cost be you. However, in that you must learn your faults and your qualities. Yet, you must be able to learn from yourself, and be willing to change if need be. This comes down to those who you allow into your circle. For if you have to many people just like you, you will never be who you can be. Because, there is no one there to challenge your views, no one there to make you grow, and no one there to motivate you to become. Those who are like you are only there to keep you the same, just like them, thus keeping you right where you are, never living up to the greatness you already supposed to be.
Therefore, look at your life as a being moments where you are waiting on yourself, and how much you make is determined on how well you do. For some it will be there ability to communicate, for others it will be there ability not to keep visiting the failures of life, kind of like, coming back to the table to many times. Then it could be not being able to stay consistent or when someone does not give you the tip you desire, but not getting mad; yet, having the well to press on, in spite of.
For these are some of the things that can either stop us or motivate us to do better. Waiting on tables, is not the point, for we must realize that waiting on life is the key, and the "tip" will, be the amount you have put into yourself.

The Famous Life

Fame is no longer only for the few, but fame is now for those that understand how to develop themselves on this plat form called social media. Social Media has become, in my view, the way anyone can become famous, by just the click of the button. That is if you desire to have fame, that is if you are willing to have others take part in your world. Social Media is a powerful tool, that if used correctly, can put a normal person in front of millions. The strategy is to you use your voice to become the change you desire to see.

Fame is not just what you see on tv. Moreover, there are many men and women that are famous, but only to those that seek out the many informational systems that are out there. What is your personal style, what is your finger print to the world. We no longer have to search for big companies to endorse what we do, we who believe in social media, have the eyes of the world at our finger tips. We have the eyes and ears of the global market. All we have to do is take the time to believe in our message, and take the time to be apart of the global conversation.

The key to success in this plat form is in the amount of time you spend developing your brand, for me it has been an outlet for the many conversation that I have in my head. I now can share those thoughts and ideas with the world, and have as many people share with me the tools they have discovered as well.

I have went from spending a few minutes a day online, to spending hours developing new ideas and new friends. However, I still have not done enough, I still have not reached out to as much as I should. Yet still, as you develop your brand, what will happen is that you will see the things you need to work on, and in a way, how you look at the world and others will change. You will become more open to new ideas, more open to new people, and at the end of the day, you will become connected to the future of the global market.

Team of Rivals

How many of us actually spend time learning about the people we have placed around us. President Elect Obama, has stated that he has read a book based on the cabinet Lincoln built, that was made up of Lincolns rivals. Lincoln placed around him people that would not be yes men, and it seems that Obama will be doing the same things. In many ways this could be great, and then at times this could be bad, due to the fact that tempers seem to explode sometimes.

How many of us place people on our lives that do not see the world as we do? How many of us, have in our personal cabinet those who will only yes us rather than telling the truth. Many of us are so dependent upon having friends stroke our ego's rather than having people that will keep us on our toes. There needs to be balance in our lives, a balance that keeps us hungry to the things that we need to keep focused on, rather than those that will laugh behind our backs when things go to hell.

The need for the right people in our lives is very key to how far we go in life. If we stay in our comfort zone for to long everything and everyone will pass us by. However, as the saying goes, keep your enemies close, some of us are so lost in ourselves that we do not understand that the best way to stay in the know is by have those you do not trust, as the ones that you speak to the most. In the future there will be a segregation of information, not of color, meaning those that stay informed will be those that will have access to the things needed to move forward in this life.

Many people can not understand that you do not need those who will agree with you all the time, you need those who can tell you to your face that you are wrong, and at the end of the day, the two or three or how every many there is, go out to lunch. The key to success is not having a team of yes men, but having a team of rivals that will not hesitate to tell you what they think. This is the key to networking, and the key to even your personal branding.

If we are going to be successful in the future now dawning, we must be able to learn the things that were alien to use just a few weeks ago, we need to understand that rivals are not the problem, the problem is the fear that our person has about the unknown, about having yes men around us all day to stroke our egos. The growth of humanity is its ability to listen to all voices and still be an individual in a team of rivals, each person striving to be better than the other.

What is the Truth

For the better part of twenty-seven years, I have spent living my life as a Christian. However, in the last few years, I have begun to seek truth, truth that is not what has been spoken and sometimes shouted to me from the pulpits all across the south west. From many of these sermons or shouting matches I have found one thing to be constant and that is fear. Fear that we will burn in hell for any sin that we do. Fear that if we do not go to church each Sunday, that we will be kicked out of our communities. Fear that if we have a drink that we will bur in hell. Well, none of these things are true, none of these things are the core of God, none of these things are relevant.

Many churches spend more time scaring you into believing rather than loving or teaching you into your own identity of knowing God. Since, the creation of man, man has been fighting each other over weather or not what one believes is the truth and the other is a lie. Well, both or wrong, for the truth of God is unknown to any man, but the love of God is for all man, no matter if you call him Allah or if you call him Jesus.

God belongs to no man, his ways are not known to anyone but God, and if God has decided to call one of his creation his son then who am I to say that he is wrong. However, if God calls himself Allah, then who am I to say that he should say something else. For as a man of faith is the center of my being, and getting to know him is my life's endeavor. I do not care if you call him Allah or if you call him Jesus for I could not make it through my day with out either one of them.

However, the problem is that we have been so brain washed through out history to believe in something that we do not even know how it begun, to the point that we are committing religious terrorism. This is not the way of God or shall I say this is not the way of Allah, yet still, this is not the way of Christ. We as Christians bare the name of a man that was ordained by God to change the world and have love for all those who are in it no matter their faith. However, through religious dogma we as Christians have become more concerned with how big our building are rather than how strong our faith is.

We, as people of color have been shouted to for centuries, from a Holy Scripture that we have no clue on how it was created more or less than the truth within it. Many of us have left it up to the "preacher," to learn all the mysteries of God. We have left it up to the Pastor to learn the original language of the Holy text, and we who believe, each and everyday defy the the very core of faith, and that is a personal relationship. Not the addiction to coming to the altar, not the addiction to skipping or running across the floor, not the addiction of getting only the Bishop to lay hands on us. We have in many ways failed God, by being addicts to church function rather than being addicts to serving the true and living God of all.

Now, some may ask me who or what is the true and living God, well, I no longer believe that Islam, Christianity and Judaism are separate, but we are all the same body, serving different functions. Yes, I know many of you will start quoting scripture, many of those scriptures are taken so far out of context that we are no longer believe God, but believe the noun and pronoun difference between the English language and the most original text. How many of us know that nouns and pronouns are different in all languages, how many of us know that a word in English means something totally different in Hebrew, which is the language of Christ? How many of us know that the core of what we believe as Christians is written the the Qu'ran.

We as Christians, and even many from the middle east are so far from the truth of God, that we are lost to his love, we are lost to his mercy, we are lost to falling in love with him. Because we have become trapped by pastors that will not seek the truth, and make attempts to keep people in bondage because of fear of hell, rather than telling them that God has already freed them. Christians have for so many years been trapped by the thought that they need a church position be somebody or they have to be in an office at the church to have a place in the life. when the truth of the matter, you have a place in God, and you are apart of his heart. God, Allah or Jesus loves you in your complete self, not because you go to Church, not because you hold an office in the church, not because you travel with the Bishop every time he goes out of town.

God loves you when you go to sleep and when you wake up. God loves you, when you are at your best or when you are at your worst. God love you period, and he wants to get to know you. He does not need a minster to tell you that, all he needs is you to tell yourself. God can go by many names because he is God, he can have many messengers because he is God, he can have many sons, because he is God. He does not need you to follow Allah or Christ to bring validness to himself, because he is God. God stands alone with or without you, but he still loves you no matter what, and I believe that he is reaching out to us using Islam, using Christianity, he is calling you to truth not to spookisum.

I call all people who believe in either religion to learn the other religion, you will not go to hell, you might find yourself. Stop thinking that Church is your freedom, and start knowing that you are free, and that the word of God is all you need, not the four walls. Pillors can not hold up a building if they can not hold weight, and many of us wonder why our church is not going anywhere. It is because we have spent so many years scaring people to God, rather than focusing people to the greatness within that God has given them.

Many of us, and I include myself, are doing what we do not because we feel that it is who we are, but we are doing these things because that is what we have been told to do for generations, and many of us still struggle with the generational prison that the slaves dealt with. Because we have never gotten the truth. We have never seeked out the truth, only the things that favor what we believe, trust me I have done this, reading every book that on its cover tells me that it is against any other religion. We must open our minds, and shut our mouths, and seek God. We listen so much to every preacher that come our way, that we are like crack addicts, always needing a fix, and never getting fixed.

God is not a God of fear, he is a God of love, and when you fall in love with him, you will fear him out of your love for him, not out of what some preacher has told you will happen to you if you seek truth for yourself. What you need to succeed is already inside of you, it is not at an altar, for the altar is that of your heart, not in front of the pulpit. You are great without the approval of the church folk, you are great because you believe in God, not because they have given you a position, God does not care if you are on the usher board only church folk do, and their opinion is just like grass, cut down when it over grown. Pray and lay hands on yourself, for the same God is in you that is in the pastor, seek God for yourself, not what you are told on Sunday. God will reveal his mysteries to anyone who seeks his face.

Be the change you wish to see in the world, be the peace of God in the earth, seek his face, seek his son, and seek him. Holla at cha boy.

Hip-Hop & Politics

The growth of Hip-Hop has changed over the last couple of years, we as a Hip-Hop nation have had to grow up in the areas of Politics and Economics, with more Rappers reaching towards ownership of the music they have made. The industry has driven many one time artist to become more focused on the business side of the industry. Artist such as Jay-z, 50 cent, and others are known as much for their business swagger as well as their music. This is key to understanding the influence of the Hip-Hop nation on the current markets across the world.

Hip-Hop artist are not just rapping about their hoods, but they are venturing out into more subjects that have roots into the things they are being exposed to. Artist such as Pharrell, which he goes by the name of Skate Board P, is gaining more exposure amongst skate boarders as well as street hip-hop heads.

Back in the day, everything was focused on where you grew up, now days it seems to be more about the stamps on your pass port. The evolution of the industry is even more relevant in the clothing companies that are springing up all over the nation. In the first stages of this movement, only a few names where the dress code for artist, and one of those names was Karl Kani. Moreover, now artist are more focused on getting out their own ideas rather than dressing in someone else's name sake.

The truth growth of hip-hop has been even more realized in the last campaign for President of the United States. Obama did not have say no more than he listens to Jay-z on his i pod. This gave him all the credit he needed in the hoods across the nation. Not to mention he is a person of color, the songs on his i pod let the world know that this was a candidate of the future. With P. Diddy, Jay-z and others campaigning for Obama, the nation was told in a load voice that we are the future, and the rest of you all might as well move to the side.

Hip-Hop artist in the past wrote songs with political ideals, explaining how politicians looked over those people living in the worst condition in America, win Obama won, the hood, felt that for the first time in history, their story was meaningful to this nation. The power of influence is key in the future of this nation, and with a President that understands this, it feels very hopeful that the voices of the nation of hip-hop will be heard more in years to come.

Everyone is Famous in Social Media

One of the greatest things about Social Media is the fact that everyone using Social Media is in some form or fashion Famous. In times past the only way you could become famous was to was to either get a Radio, T.V. show or become an artist of some sort. However, with the power of Social Media, if you used correctly, anyone, anywhere can become an instant star. For some the question is, how do you do I do this?

For many being in the public eye is not something you desire to do, yet, the power of Social Media allows anyone, no matter of how you wish to be heard, has the ability to be heard. The key is having the ability to be creative enough to have something to say, and you must be not have thin skin.

Some people are to sensitive for this space, because Social Media is very consumer focused, and allows everyone who use the web the chance to reply to your views on anything you do. Also, the world is changing President Elect Obama, used Social Media in away that changed election for the rest of time. The power is having millions of people at your finger tips each and everyday of your life. However, you must have something these people want to to hear or read. Moreover, the power is in your hands, the person that feels he or she has something to say.

Fame has always been limited to a few people, however Social Media allows anyone the chance to get more than just their Fifteen Minutes of Fame. Social Media allows you to be in the face of others each and everyday, all day. Many people talk about wanting to do something big, but when the chance comes along they run from the chance. It is not because they do or don't have the ability, but it may be because they are to scared to have other people criticize their work.

It is time to stop looking at others being great or look at others and wish you could be that person. It is time to start being that person you see on T.V. It is time you become famous, and all the tools you need are just a finger tip away.

Living during the time of Obama

Tuesday night is a night that changed the world, not just because we elected a person of color, but because we elect a man that embodies the spirit of Lincoln. Some may try to compare Obama to Martin Luther King or other black leaders. However, I believe that this is very unfair to Obama. Because, Obama is the for coming of the age of dreams and prayers. Moreover, he is not those people, Obama is a man unto himself, and a bridge to the future of America.

Obama, is more than just a President, he is the proof of the future, he is the change that the future has been waiting for. Now, how we carry ourselves during this time is just a important as President Obama carries himself. The time has come for changing our lives, and focusing on the things that got Obama to where he is. Obama, is first of all a student, and learning is very important to this man, so we as a nation of people must follow in the foot steps of Obama.

This not a time to relax, this is a time to go hard for whatever it is we desire; however, the level of class is very important. It is time to become up graded. We must become up graded in everything we do. In the future it will not be a question of color segregation it will become segregation of information. For those who are not informed will not be able to step up. With area of Social Media dawning, and with a President that knows, and used it well. It is time to grow up, and stop acting like the Internet is a party. This is now a business, and know one can hide, no amount of changing your name on sites, will be able to hide you from the internet.

This thing we have with Social Media, this President we have, is not anything to play with. We are standing at the the future of American and those who can not move with it, will not only be left behind, but will be left out. President Obama, is a leader that will demand the nation become as great as can be, and will not allow for smallness. I believe, and I hope that Obama makes none of his policies based on color, because color should not matter on his policies. For Obama is one that pulled himself up by his boot strapes, and should inspire us all to do the same.

However, just like Lincoln, Obama will be able to feel you pain and he will be able to share in your success, but he will not excuse the lack of being lazy, and the lack of class. Obama, is a leader, and I hope he makes it clear that fathers must stand up and be fathers rather than rolling stones. This is what it means to change, so many people have been talking about change, but the question will become if you are willing to except change.

We must be about our Presidential Swagger, and that means pulling up our pants, that means dressing with class and pride. We must stop hiding behind the false names that sites give us, because we don't want to be Googled. Obama, has raised the bar so high that either you look to reach it yourself or you stay stuck.

There are no more excuses it is time that w grow up and take pride in who we are and what we are about. Now, this is not about color but it is more about the nation at hand. This is about all people, this victor is about all humans. None of us are greater than the others. We must stand with the President Elect and carry his mantel and his ideals to the next level and the next generation of Americans. The time has come to be change and not just talk about it. The time has come that we grow up with out use of the Internet, for this media is a business and if you can not understand that, you might need to go back to transistor radios.

Let us, for the next four years and beyound do all we can not to embarrass our President, with the tone of our actions, and the childish pics, blogs, and other things we as a nation place on this space. Yes, but let us from now on have class, and not ignorance.

Finishing strong

We only really have a few hours before we decide who will lead the future of America, now if you want the same things of the past 200 years, then you know who you need to vote for. It is not a matter of if McCain will destroy the future of America, it is a fact that McCain will kill the future of our children even if only given four years. These last couple of weeks he has been saying that Obama is not ready, well he is not ready even after 26 years in Washington, not only that he has chosen a women that does not have the no how to lead a group of pigs to slaughter. Your VP, Mr. McCain, is not ready to lead grass to grow.

We as people of color have waited to long to see this moment in history, we have waited to long to see a person of color, and any who think Obama is not black enough or is not dark enough are cancers to there own people. You my friends are worse than the kkk, and need to resign your heritage. Obama, is the very meaning of change, because he did not chose his path to birth, he did not have a choice of his mother or his father, but he did make a choice to change the world, and when changing the world is your desire color is an after thought.

We as a people must grow up and stop thinking inside the box of race, and start thinking outside the box Jim Crow, we can either side with McCain or we can side with the future of this nation. The time has come not for just change, but the time has come to for fill the dream of Dr. King. It is time for us to take the prayers of our grandparents and pass on those blessing to our children. It is time to stop the bleeding left after King. It is time to stand up and lift every voice, it is time to let freedom ring, not just from the Church Bells, but from the boom boxes of our cars, all the way to the long lines of voting.

For the next two days let us forget about who is at the club, and who had on what, and how did what this weekend. Let us these last two days, remember the slaves, let us remember, the leaders we lost to the hate of America's past, let us not forget the pain of picking cotton, let us lay aside all the lies we tell each other. Like, you could go to jail, if you have any outstanding parking tickets, whoever, the fool is that said this needs to go and read a book. For, it is time to lay down the old age of fear, and take up the spear of progress, it is time to lay down blindness of self hate and put on the armor of growth.

It is time to for at least one day, pull up our pants, and tuck in our shirts and walk with the pride of our heritage. For the time is here, the time has come, change is staring us in the face, and it is in our hands to make the change. Let us get out of the pews of our churches and sit in the voting lines for our children. This is the time, this is the hour, this is the moment we all have been waiting for, we must speak so loud that the Republican's of each state understand where the power is, let them know that they no longer run America, that they no longer have a voice, let use on Tuesday, destroy their hope, let us leave none in any seat, let us let them know that they are no longer wanted in our cities, our counties, and our nation, for they only have one thing on their minds and that is keeping Bush in office.

We can not stand for this, we can not stand for the same crap that we have dealt with for the past 200 year plus, we no longer desire to be at the bottom looking up, but let us put them at the bottom and allow them to see what it feels like. It my friends is the time for change, and let one thing be clear, yes, color does matter, but the poor of the nation need love to, so Republicans we no longer desire your brand of Politics, we no longer desire your brand of hate. Let us on Tuesday change the future of America for the better of all cultures not just a few.

My Friends it is time to get loud, it is time to get louder, it is time to shout from the Confederate top of Stone Mountain that we are here now and we are not going anywhere, and if you desire anything from now on you have to come through us. The time has come ya'll, the time has come. No longer will we wait, no longer will we stand by and watch our children kill themselves, no longer, will we allow the rich to keep getting richer and the poor get poorer, we must stand up for all Americans, we must stand up for all people, and we will not allow, the same old hell on earth to keep going on. Mr. McCain I wish you well, and no matter what happens I hope you and your friends know that you are no longer wanted in this great Country. Because, this country has out grown your brand of Politics, we the people have out grown a one color or wealth rule. It is time for change, and by God we are going to get it.

The Growth "Swag Like Us"

"Do what you do," is a slogan used by many in this Hip-Hop generation. However, many of us do not do what we do, many of us are trapped by doing what others do. What will have to happen before we become our own person? How much will have to happen before we believe what is already in us?

Creative people often think outside the box, however, many of us become trapped by being so much outside the box, that we forget the feelings of others. For most of my life this has been the case, until I had it happen to me. Even now I wrestle in my mind with going forward. However, I realized that my input does not matter that much. So, I realized that I had to grow, and push myself to become an equal, respected for what I have to bring to the table.

In this information age, I was lacking, not in my ability to write, but in my ability to create what is seen my millions of people, when they go on line and search for web sites. I have to admit, as my Pastor Victor L. Powell told me, that I have a lot of ambition. I call it the Napoleon complex. The desire at a young age to do more, and wanting to skip the steps to get there. He also told me that I must learn to complete something, because in my past I have had trouble doing this. Jumping from thing to thing does not make you great in your field, but it takes from your ability to sustain your niche. So, I began to look deep within and try to find more of who I am and who I was not.

I had to stop looking at myself as always needing someone else to define me, I had to define myself. I had to "do the work." I had to focus myself on one project at a time, and build myself one brick at a time. The saying goes, that "Roman was not built in a day," so is the same for me. My greatness will not be built on many ideas, but it will be built on my brand. One of my close friends is a brand, and I was trying to do my best to be just like him, but instead I was adding my addiction to not completing anything. He is great at what he does, however, it took hard work for him to get to that point. Not everyone's road is the same, we all have different paths, and we all have something to bring to the table. You must learn that your 2 cents matters even when you are in side a box, and no one should make you feel any less than the great person you are.

I am a person that has always been trapped by trying to be like the people around me, no more. I am longer a replica of anyone, but God first and myself second. You must stand alone at times in order to achieve the greatness within. I have even began to separate myself from the picture of Church, not because it is not needed, but because we all have become clones, and not like Christ. Moreover, this is my faith, and this is my life, that if I don't correct my habits, my daugther will become just like me. The church mentality ends with me, and the focus of God first starts now.

This is not an option, yesterday I started waiting tables, and for me this is something I thought I would never do. It is the next job, in a line of jobs; however, it is as though I am starting over, and becoming who I am supposed to be. A long this road you will lose many people, and you will pull away from the systems that keep you stuck in the muck, but if you give up on yourself, you will give up on your destiny. I wish I could change my past, I wish I could correct the many things I have done wrong, and say I am sorry for the people I have hurt. But as in all things we all must learn to move on. We all must learn to grow, and we all must learn that we play second to no one! We all have swagger, and we all are kings, inside a box or outside the box. Holla.

Holding The Keys

The keys to your life are not held by anyone but you. However, if you have to many extra sets out there, the problem is that when you get home or go to use your car, there is no telling who maybe in your space. What I am saying is that you must allow only those into your life that can add texture to who you are, and be a sounding board for the issues that beset you.

The problem with many of us is that we have given out to many extra keys to our minds, hearts, and body. We have allowed everyone and their mother the full access to who we are, and what has happened is that we have become lost to who we are, and what we can become. You must stand on your strength and not the strength of what everyone's opinion is. Because, when you do this, you get lost in the ideals of others, and not in the ideals of what God is calling you to do. Now, is it hard not to allow, your friends or co-workers access to you. Yes, however, not everyone is meant to speak into your life, not everyone is meant share you world, not everyone is meant to be on your team.

We must learn how to in tune with our surrounding, but not allow what surrounds us to pollute who we are. The power of networking is that it gives you the ability to learn, and grow by just talking with others. However, many of us have networked our butts off and have found nothing in the saving banks of our minds. This has happened because you have tried to become like others, and not have become the true you. You, must become the truth about yourself. You need mentors, but mentors are not there for you to be just like them, mentors are there to guide you through the valleys because they have been there themselves.

If two people are trying to build a boat, and one knows how to shape wood and the other knows how to put the pieces of the boa together then a working vassal will be made. However, if all you ever do is talk about building the boat, and you both have the same skill set, and all you ever get down is the drawing, the what have you done, nothing. Not to mention, if all you do is talk, and before the wood can be cut, you have moved on to building a house, what have you done, nothing. We as people of creative mindedness must stay focused on something long enough to see the reality of a thing before we move on to the next thing. The keys to being a success in the new Social Media world or world in general, is the ability to stay focused long enough to reach success, not moving from thing to thing.

I have in the last week realized the truth about myself. that as long as I keep moving from idea to idea, I will never see success, I will always be limited to my dreams but never seeing them come true. I will always be talking and not getting it done. Now, does this mean that if something else comes along that you should let it pass, no. However, no matter what comes your way, that is new, work on that thing as well, but a lot a short time to it, so that the idea you were working on doesn't die.

I am no longer in the place of moving from idea to idea, I want to see the full success of everything I a doing, and I must build a team of people that are willing to do the same. Because, that is what creates success, this is how you hold the keys to your own life, and this is how you can change the world, by first change you and then everything else.

Make your way.com

Today I was trying to do all the things you do to go back to school, however I was having a hell of a time getting the funding I need at the moment. As door after door was being closed in my face. I realized that sometimes you have to make you own way rather than having it given to you. Now, I know for some this is something that you already know, however, for many more we still look for things to be easy.

We all know the saying of anything worth having, yet the problem for some is the what is worth having part. How are we supposed to find out or know the things in life that are worth having and be willing to surrender all for the conquest of it. Well, in order to find out what is worth having look at the degree of difficulty. Olympic people are usually judge on how hard it was for them to do what it is that they do. This determines their score, and ultimately if they win a gold medal.

This could be a way to look at how something can be used in your life to determine if something is worth your time effort. Because, the time you spend on anything should come at a cost of how you progress as a human being. Now, we also must look at whether or not you have a passion for it.

In order to find out the total amount of passion you have for a thing, research it and see if how much of you are you willing to give up. Because if you are willing to give up something to gain something more, then you really do not need to wast your time going after this right now fix. Because many of us go through a for the moment mentality, we will do a thing just long enough until it takes to much of our time.

Better yet, many of us go into things without understanding the purpose of the thing or how this thing can be used to fuel our life goals. You must know and understand your purpose, I am not talking about your purpose in life, but the purpose of this thing that can take you to your purpose in life.

In the process of this, there comes the time where we need to figure out if what we are trying to do will be easy or if we will have to make away. Many people of faith say that you should pray about it. well this is true. However, if that is all you do then you may never reach your full potential. We must also understand that faith without works is dead, so we need to take the steps necessary to reach out new goals. This takes time this take effort, this also takes the needed DNA, to make away when noway exist.

We all at certain times in our lives must become go getters. Because, if you are not all you will ever be is a go never getting anything. If one door closes in you face, go to the wall next to the door and cut out a door and walk into your dreams or goals. Never give up because someone said that it can not be done or there is no need for it. You might have to retool it, you might have to look into other communities, you might even have to move, but the goal is to never give up. The goal is to believe in a thing so much that when people see you, you no more look like the person you were, but you have become your dream. This is also apart of branding, in order to be a brand you must become the brand you must live the brand, breathe the brand, and make away for the brand.

Your dream must become real to you, if no one else believes you dream, you must be the light, and you must stand on your faith in you rather than what is on seen. If you want a web page, and you can find someone to build it in your budget, go and learn how to build one yourself, for your dream. Yes, it might take a while to do it, but if you are hungry enough you will, guess what, make away.

This if the focus of what I am saying, you must make away when there is no way or road for you to go down, you must create the world you desire to see, when no one believe it exist. Dreaming is not just something that happens when you are a sleep, because that is when a dream is most at risk. but dream accrues when there is nothing and you have the drive to make it so. Dreaming is when your eyes are open and the world become your play ground. Dreaming is when you have to create something from scratch.

One more thing, it is great to surround yourself with other dreamers; however, sometimes all that ever comes of this is sleeping, nothing ever happens. You must at all coast, stay true to your dreams, and be if needed assist others with there dreams. Yet, you must never lose site of yourself, because when you do this you will find yourself being the other person rather than being who God has created you to be. You should never be a mirror reflection of anyone but you. At all cost be you, and be true to yourself, because inside of you is where greatness is.

Obama Effect

The republicans have a sign that says "Country First," when they are not practicing what they preach. Putting your country first, is not fighting a war, and killing soldiers, it is not helping the rich, they do not need it. Putting country first, is providing health care for all, and to those who wonder how it is going to get paid for, well, right now your money is being used by a terrorist called George Bush.

McCain, would be terrible for this country in so many ways, he would allow the continuing plunder of this countries jobs. He would allow the plunder of American lives in a war that we do not belong in. McCain is the worse thing for the country since 9/11, and does not deserves to look at the resolute table more or less work from it. How many more lives must we lose in this war for oil, how many more months will Bin laden go free, because Bush want get him, because Bin Laden's Family is invested in Bush's oil companies.

We must remember that Bush and the VP, have companies Bin Leiden's and his family are invested into, if anyone is in bed with terrorist it is these to. We must make a change, we need a change, and how can a man that has been in Washington for 26 years bring the change we need. Palin, would rather have her son fight a war with the chance of death, rather than have him at home with her. That "my friends," is dumb.

If we support McCain more of our money and children will die for oil, and not for American lives. McCain will bring death and dishonor not pride, and love of country. The time is now for change, not the time for war. We need love in this world, not bombs.
