After stumbling through the musical wilderness for a number of years J.Nitrous [aka James Burchett] is delivering speaker shattering dubstep, drum and bass and experimental tracks that are turning heads and stomachs for all the right reasons.
Classically trained and dangerously alternative, J.Nitrous began DJing in his mid teens and a sneaky adventure into a Perth club at the tender age of 16 gave J.Nitrous his first taste of what it feels like to step up behind the wheels of steel.
Since his underage foray into the DJing arena, J.Nitrous has played at some of Perth’s biggest and best venues and not once has he strayed from the sounds that drive him to do what he does best, twisting peoples’ minds and insides with bass driven percussive adventures into a deep, dark and edgy sonic wonderland.
With influences stretching through the twisted soundscapes of drum and bass producers like Spor, Limewax & Evol Intent and the creative genius of Radiohead, The Smashing Pumpkins & Bloc Party, J.Nitrous is carving and creating himself a sound he can call his own.
With his debut release forthcoming on Abducted Dub; Deception & Screaming On The Inside, collaborative projects with KillaFoe forthcoming on Foul Play Recordings (hitting the shelves in early 2009) and a bucket load of dubs at his disposal; J.Nitrous’ DJing performances are always a step ahead.
Highly flammable and set to ignite, look out fuckers and make way for J.Nitrous.
