Mr. Podsnap's world was not a very large world... ...he considered other countries a mistake, and of their manners and customs would conclusively observe, "Not English!" when, Presto! wish a flourish of the arm and a flush of the face, they were swept away. Elsewise, the world got up at eight, shaved close at a quarter-past, breakfasted at nine, went to the City at ten, came home at half-past five, and dined at seven. Mr. Podsnap's notions of the arts might have been stated thus. Literature; large-print, respectively descriptive of getting up at eight, shaving close at a quarter-past, breakfasting at nine, going to the city at ten, coming home at half-past five, and dining at seven. Painting and Sculpture; models and portraits representing Professors of getting up at eight, shaving close at a quarter-past, breakfasting at nine, going to the City at ten, coming home at half-past five, and dining at seven. Music; a respectable performance (without variations) on stringed and wind instruments, sedately expressive of getting up at eight, shaving close at a quater-past, breakfasting at nine, going to the City at ten, coming home at half-past five, and dining at seven. Nothing else to be permitted to those same vagrants the Arts, on pain of excommunication. Nothing else To Be--anywhere!

Not that anyone actually looks at my website or read my blogs, but I feel an obligation to make it known...

So, I've decided that, totally finished or not on the album art side, I'm going to have something available online for everyone to buy by Christmas this year. At least it will be in keeping with the title track. So, my imaginary friends, be on pins and needles. The stuff is coming soon. Don't despair for having waited two years (I've waited longer) I will have something selling online even if it's just a crappy recording in a crappy paper CD sleeve with about as much class as a high-school cafeteria. So be it, I think it's time we be moving on...

Some New Songs

I've recently written a few more songs. The lyrics can be viewed on the second blog post. This is a brief overview of what I've been up to lately.

This one song, it's called "2B or not 2B" the title having been inspired by my sophomore algebra II teacher, Mr. Covington. It's basically my take on Shakespear: I think it's way over rated.
Another song, called "Nothing Really Lasts" is about the temporary beauty in this world, and the contentment in the knowledge that while nothing in this world lasts, we have something far greater to look forward to that does.
Also, there's a song called "Out the Window" about our ineptitude as humans in thinking that we know everything while obvious past experience tells us that we know very little indeed. It's about throwing all our knowledge and logic out the window when it comes to faith and trust.
Finally, a song called "On The Rise." It's about how things in this world are not as they should be, but that all wounds do eventually heal in one way or another, and I feel fine about this world even though it is in chaos because "I know that soon enough the sun will be on the rise, and so, so will I." The word "sun" can be interchangeable with the word "son."

Anyways, while I doubt that anyone will read this, if you happen to, you can be informed.
