The grandson of a cello player and the product of a family possessing a history of talented vocalists, Joe has music in his blood and an approach to songwriting that is both refreshing and upbeat. A 20 year-old singer/songwriter from Fort Mill, South Carolina, his music has been likened to that of Jack Johnson, Dispatch, Dave Matthews, John Mayer, and others. The full band (Joe McCready & The Promised Land) plays various shows around the Southeast and Joe does solo-acoustic shows on many occasions. On The Way To Washington was released independently in January (2008); the polished follow-up to his debut, Simple Songs. Both albums are available for purchase on iTunes.
