WHO'S THIS AVERAGE JOE?.
I'm just a music-loving kid who loves to write and play for anyone, anywhere - from curbside performances to concert halls in London, if there are ears that'll listen, I will gladly play. Like most of us, I have been singing since before I can remember, (add half a sentence here about how long you've been playing guitar, if you ever played any other instrument, ie "after spending some time on piano, i started playing guitar two years ago...etc) I started college at Miami University in Ohio, but after trying out a life of college academia, music grew beyond the menial daily shower singing into a much bigger part of my life. Music was like a monkey on my back that I just couldn't shake off. Songwriting found its way back into my heart and soul, along with my every day life, I was captivated with cutesy one-liners, preoccupied with rhymes, and transformed into a starry-eyed observer of the world and people around me. Left alone to my imaginings and the everyday adventure of creating the perfect song, inevitably, my college study habits were "refocused." Eventually I realized that there was a full out war waging between academia and music, and that I would never get my calculus homework done unless I got my head clear. Thus, instead of ignoring my lyrical musings, I came up with creative excuses to continually jot down lyrics day-after-day, neglecting my honors program and pursuing something I felt was more true to myself. The clash between school and music led me back home to Columbus, Ohio, to pour my heart into music full-time, striving to fit together the perfect words, rhythm, and melody.
I believe in music that speaks to the soul, written by those whose souls have been stirred by a beautiful melody. From what I have experienced, soul stirrings can soon become string strummings, if you allow them to express themselves.
That is pretty much why I am here: to learn, to grow, to inspire, and to connect with others who share love for expression through art, especially by means of music of any kind. The internet provides us with wonderful means of art distribution; we have the ability to search an entire town, an entire city for music that fits our interest without moving an inch. Some might worry that the practice of being on your computer for hours searching for that perfect song could cause the classic "stomach swelling sydrome" or "zombie effect" due to the countless hours of eye-to-screen contact. Don't be alarmed; this is common. Music is enticing. I endorse eating a balanced diet and taking regular walks through the park, but I would never dare to hold anyone back from the journey of finding and experiencing the perfect song.
A fair warning -- once you have experienced the richness of a music written from heart and soul, you may never be able to drive down the street and listen contently to a mainstream melody again. There may come a point where the musical norm will not satisfy, and you will find yourself searching parts of town you never knew existed, sitting next to people of all shapes, smells, and sizes, in coffee shops with hundreds of different drinks you have never tasted, craving a fresh, real sound. My desire is to put a new song in your head and a spring in your step. Allow me to introduce you to a world of music unlike anything you have ever experienced. (edit by d ford.)

My dear, I'm going to Columbus College of Art and Design not Columbus State. But in such a case, we are school/college/buddies neighbors. The CSCC parking lot was my view from the dorms last year. I watched a fender bender occur.
Nerdy is good and creepy can only go so far. I'll facebook you up.
