Finally, after much speculation, planning, and revision, I am pleased to announce the existence of Argali Records. The intent of this label to release high-quality experimental music of a wide variety of genres, moods, and textures. Dark ambient, industrial, avant-garde electronics, noise/power electronics, drone, and their various permutations are what we are currently looking for.

We are also a basically 'non-ideological' label, namely that we are not interested in people utilizing their music to promote political, religious, and/or nihilistic philosophical positions. This namely applies to noise/power electronics releases, although the policy applies to the whole label. Please, leave your hateful ideologies and 'shock value' aesthetics at the door.There are plenty of other labels and groups that will accept those gimmicks. But not us. Argali Records is primarily about THE MUSIC/NOISE. That is not to say that none of the material will not contain strong messages/meanings/interpretations. Far from it. But leave your puerile political/philosophical posturing at home. Even babies grow out of their tantrums.

However, if you are an open-minded individual with a passion for the above-stated genres (either listening to and/or creating them), this label would like to work with you to get your material released and projects promoted.

Currently, we are finalizing the layout of this main website and the associated Archive.org page. We should be able to begin taking demos within the next few weeks. Furthermore, we will not take on more projects than we can efficiently handle at once. If we cannot release something at the time (due to time constraints, etc), we will inform you as soon as possible (the same day, usually). If we CAN release your work, we will also tell you as soon as possible. We also have a high degree of respect for the visual aspects of most releases, and we allow either the musician to supply visuals, or we can create work that compliments your audio, should you desire us to do so.

The Wordpress site still has a few things which need to be added to it, but it is basically complete at this point. The first album is a collaboration between me (as Terra Engine and Nihil Obstat) and Interesting Specimen (who is also helping me run the label as well). It is possible that future albums by this collaboration (known collectively as "The Nihilist Fish-Engine Phenomenon" will be created/released.
