An expansion and evolution from the themes explored in the first Nihil Obstat album "The Undying Dream", released by Clinical Archives earlier in the year.

Influenced by many popular and underground noise acts, yet maintaining a distinct auditory aesthetic.

Summoning up mental images of nuclear explosions, stuttering klaxons, language malfunction, raging maelstroms, and the vast expanses of the barren sky above us, there is nothing gentle about "Gimcrack".
