Internationally recognized singer, songwriter, musician, and sought after conference speaker, Johnny Ramirez is difficult to describe.

To attribute a title like Psalmist, Evangelist, Teacher, or Worship Leader to him would most definitely limit what God has actually done in him and through him.

Many words have been spoken over him since his childhood, some of which have already been fulfilled and some which are just now being fulfilled. Son of Pastors/Evangelists Manuel & Esperanza Ramirez, Johnny has spent his life involved in ministry.

At the ripe old age of five he started singing and soon after learned to play the guitar at the age of eight. By the age of eleven he became youth pastor of one hundred and twenty five kids all of the ages of thirteen and up. At the age of twelve he preached his first sermon and by the age of fourteen he went into full time ministry with his parents and brothers, traveling throughout the western United States and Mexico.

Since then Johnny has ministered along side of various groups and solo artists as well as well known speakers. Being a fully bilingual artist has allowed him to do what many cannot do. In the Spanish arena, he has opened for artists such as Marcos Vidal, Michael Rodriguez, Rene Gonzalez and many others. In the English arena, it has been artists such as The Imperials, Petra, and Jaci Velazquez, whose first CD featured “I Promise” a song written by Johnny.

He has led worship for Promise Keepers and Maximized Manhood events with Dr. Edwin Louis Cole, and Max Lucado ranging from the hundreds to the thousands in attendance. His songs have been sung in concerts and churches world wide. He has served as Music Director and Music Pastor in churches in the United States and recently served as the Ministerial Director for Instituto Canzion in McAllen, Texas. This highly recognized school of music was founded by Marcos Witt; Spanish Pastor for Lakewood Church with Joel Osteen, and one of Spanish Christian Music’s most well known artists.

With more than nine professional recordings under his belt, his most recent being his first DVD recorded live in concert in Monterrey Mexico, he brings a fresh sound and anointing to praise and worship. His music is heard via radio and television in more than 149 countries via satellite TV. With an estimated audience of 121 million viewers in Latin America alone, he lists among some of the most influential ministers of our time.

Johnny travels with his wife Maria and their three children AJ, Jubilee & Jaden. They have recently moved their base to from McAllen, Texas to Wasilla, Alaska.

THE MINISTRY
While on tour in 1992, Johnny had a life changing experience. For the first time in his life he heard the voice of the Lord speak to him audibly.

For the following seven nights God would awaken him that way, each time asking him questions that totally challenged and changed everything Johnny thought he knew about God, church and the ministry.

This encounter with God completely changed him forever turning the songwriter into a psalmist, the musician into a minister, and the preacher into a prophet.

As he continued to travel he couldn’t help but share the content of the revelation he received on the nights he talked with God. From that moment on worship teams, bands, worship leaders, solo artists, as well as pastors and entire congregations have been transformed by the revelation of the Holy Spirit.

In a congregational setting he uses a combination of music and the spoken word which he delivers simultaneously, the results can only be described as a true encounter with God.

Through concerts, conferences and speaking engagements, from congregations of two hundred to as many as eight thousand, Johnny has been used by God to take the worship in the church setting to the next level.
