Before you read about my life, or lack thereof, I will have you know that I am working on some type of CSS improvement. This style is ok, but it is too close to the generic look of virb. In the next week or so (so being finding free time in my busy life) I will have a new look. Don't judge my profile by its cover. You may now read the bio thing below.
I suppose this is one of those areas on the vast internet where complete strangers are to come and learn all about the little, boring, stupid things I do with my life. I try to not divulge too much information about myself in one area. I find that to be a most repulsive practice among most bloggers. That picture you see to the left... that is me. It was taken while the wife and I were enjoying some down time in Florida. Green stripes = good vibes. Oh, and just between you and me, the best time to go to the beach, especially in Florida, go during the winter. Warm enough to enjoy, nobody crowding every tourist hotspot. No airbrushed T-shirts! Always a plus. I will go on about some of the things that interest me, some of the things that I do. All of the major things that make up my life. Similar to the 5 minute socializing chat: “What do you do for a living?” “Where did/do you go to school?” “Are you married?” “Do you have a myspace page?” “What do you think about the new Belle & Sebastian album?”
“What do you do for a living?”
I work at a debt collection company in Montgomery, Alabama. I know, I know, but before you hate me for the company I work for, let me first say, it isn’t that type of debt collection. Secondly, I don’t do the debt collection anymore. I work as an Information Technology Specialist with the company. I keep the computers humming along, I keep the phone lines ringing, I keep the toaster from going offline. Oh, and yes, I do put the cover sheet on the TPS report.
“Where did you go to school?”
I am still in school. Yeah, tell me about it. Professional Student? No. Lazy? Not so much. You see, I work at above mentioned job full time. I have for the last 4 years. School, although not pushed to the backburner, has taken a backseat. It is more like a backseat driver though. It can be pushy. You know, the guy in the back left seat that says, “Hey, you should get over, I think this is our exit.” Yeah, that guy. Anyhow, I am still enrolled at Auburn University of Montgomery. The bastard stepchild of that big campus located in the city with the same name. Mostly because the campus is the city. No jokes on AUM though, it is a great institution. Rigorous. Mind-Enhancing. I should graduate in the next couple of years with a bachelors in Information Systems, if I am lucky to see that day.
“Are you married?”
Glad you asked. Yes! I am married to a wonderful girl. I met her at the learning institution I have spent so much of my time and money going to. She was the editor-in-chief at the newspaper there. I just wrote a technology column here and there. We became fast friends, and then started dating. We were married in July of 2004 at Lake Martin. It was also the hottest day of the year, not just because of the fantastic woman I married, but also because the heat was extraordinary and the humidity was on par with many of the better saunas to be found.
“Do you have a myspace page?”
Uh, yeah. There are over 100 million myspace pages in the known universe. Who doesn’t have a myspace is the question. You can find mine by simply going to this address: http://www.myspace.com/johntracy I don’t keep a profile there to meet people I have never met before. I only keep one there to keep up with the folks that I already know. Real people. Not some 78-year-old man posing as a 17-year-old girl that is just waiting for her birthday to roll around so she can do naughty things with you, because that is creepy.
“What do you think about the new Belle & Sebastian album?”
It’s pretty good. If you want to see all of my music you can simply go to my music page. It is at www.johntracy.com/music I made it look just like iTunes so you can go through it like you would your own collection.

Here is a video from Fox and Friends, or was it Saturday Night Live? I can't tell, you might have to let me know for sure. Here they are talking about a PETA protest against KFC while the "reporters" are eating from a bucket of KFC chicken.
They go on to talk about how …
