Easter Sunday. One thing I learned today was that during Lent, one isn't allowed to say "Alleluia". But, when Easter comes and the 40 days of Lent are over, you can say it again. Suddenly, it becomes fresh on your lips. I'm pretty sure we said it 50 times today in the Easter service at St. Paul's (<-- exaggeration). This just seems beautiful to me.
Almighty and everliving God, in your tender love for the human race you sent your Son our Savior Jesus Christ to take upon him our nature, and to suffer death upon the cross, giving us the example of his great humility. Mercifully grant that we may walk in the way of his suffering, and also share in his resurrection; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
...let us offer prayers to God who leads his sons and daughters through the Red Sea waters.
Glory and praise to you, O living God.
