i live in chicago. i make music full time. to support that i do graphic and web design a little bit as well. my band is called twin cats. i also play in a band called kingdom phylum. if you'd like to know anything that isn't listed elsewhere, please let me know, i'd be glad to fill you in.
i should mention that i rarely watch movies by choice, i'd rather listen to an album or read a book. but sometimes i find myself in situations where movies are being played on a screen and i'm sitting down in a spot where the screen is able to be viewed by me, and sometimes i enjoy the things i see. specifically: pom poko, ghost dog: the way of the samurai. generally: alfred hitchcock, lars von trier, david lynch, woody allen, christopher guest, stan brakhage. i also have an unwavering affinity for the film simon birch, though i don't remember the last time i watched it, nor do i have any desire to watch it again anytime soon. but if you talk shit on it i'll punch you in the face.
this started out small and kept getting bigger. it's impossible to narrow this list down to true "favorites", so here are some things i enjoy listening to: akron/family, the ants, aidan baker, battles, bedhead, benoît pioulard, bon iver, boris, peter broderick, castanets, sylvain chauveau, clouddead, collections of colonies of bees, damon & naomi, david daniell, dinosaur jr., dr. octagon, earth, efterklang, eluvium, fog, grandaddy, high on fire, jesu, r. kelly, kool keith, led zeppelin, lichens, magik markers, mammal, manipulator alligator, mountaineer, nadja, marissa nadler, neu, okay, om, phosphorescent, picastro, rivulets, samamidon, silver jews, sleep, songs of green pheasant, sonic youth, stars of the lid, subtle, sun kil moon, ryan teague, shugo tokumaru, tunng, ulver, doby watson, why?, wire....and shania love songs.
i don't like t.v. enough to get cable, i don't like t.v. enough to get cable, so most of the things i watch are either on my computer or on a dvd someone else owns. some of those shows include six feet under, so most of the things i watch are either on my computer or on a dvd someone else owns. some of those shows include six feet under, the office [bbc], seinfeld, upright citizens brigade, 30 rock, degrassi: the next generation, foster's home for imaginary friends, and milwaukee brewers baseball games. i think that court tv has some fine programming, and milwaukee brewers baseball games. i think that court tv has some fine programming, minus "cops" re-runs., minus "cops" re-runs.
i like a lot of books. right now i am reading dave eggers' you shall know our velocity, i like a lot of books. right now i am reading dave eggers' you shall know our velocity, and william faulkner's as i lay dying. i'm not sure either will end up on my favorites list, and william faulkner's as i lay dying. i'm not sure either will end up on my favorites list, however. that list includes but is of course not limited to the following: goodnight moon, however. that list includes but is of course not limited to the following: goodnight moon, one hundred years of solitude [garcia marquez], one hundred years of solitude [garcia marquez], seize the day [bellow], seize the day [bellow], the overcoat [gogol], the overcoat [gogol], the golden compass [pullman], the golden compass [pullman], actual air [berman], actual air [berman], and various poetry by plath and rilke. i think it's somewhat absurd to list authors by last name only. that's why i'm doing it., and various poetry by plath and rilke. i think it's somewhat absurd to list authors by last name only. that's why i'm doing it.

Jonathan, Mar 17, 2007:
Your profile has a great design... not flashy or fancy, just amazing :)

Matt Fields, Mar 12, 2007:
Yeah we're pretty much badasses, though I wouldn't know what the hell I was doing without a little help from my friends. Like that Cocker song. What would you think Joey, if I sang out of tune.
Lee William, Mar 12, 2007:
Man, screw you guys and your fancy-schmancy layouts.
Guildenstern, Mar 12, 2007:
Oh look at you and Mr F with your fancy CSSing and HTMLing. You think it's cool? Do you? Well, I like it, so there.
Guildenstern, Mar 10, 2007:
