Seattle folks: does anyone need kitchen stuff? I have two bags of those semi-disposable Glad & Ziplock bowl container things, along with assorted microwave stuff (vegetable/fish steamer, omelet maker, poached egg maker - some never used) with instructions, and a few other random odd and ends (including a box of orange chocolate Coromega Omega-3) that need a new home. I'd rather give them to someone I know who could use them instead of just dropping them off at Goodwill. Capitol Hill locals who can stop by sometime tonight preferred.

Saw the dermatologist on Monday. She told me I had what I thought I had, and prescribed some topical steroids. :O (Pretty much a: "Yep, it sucks and there's not much we can do. Here's some drugs. Good luck and good bye.") Last night was the first night I felt like I didn't need to use any. Hopefully, that means this flare-up, or whatever, is going away.

Still waiting for the sports medicine dude to get back to me after the bone scan and tell me how long I have to wear this damned boot, or if I have to come back in. I don't care if he's the best in town; next time anything like this happens, I will be going to someone (decent, of course) who has more time to deal with me. I'm irritated about the delay, and I hope I'm not doing anything that I shouldn't be. Just called and left another message on the dude's assistant's machine. GRR!

Our washer is on its last legs (in a kind of scary way) so we're taking the opportunity to replace it with something a LOT more energy efficient. We fell in love with washer/dryer combos in Tokyo, so we're swapping out our two ancient behemoths with one of LG's this weekend. (Which opens our laundy 'room' up for moving the catbox in there, THANK JEEBUS. I'm tired of laying in bed and listening to/smelling the cats taking a fresh one. Ugh.) At some point in the not too distant future, we're going to replace our water heater with one of those tankless on-demand things. (On a side note, we always wash our clothing in cold water.) The reduction we should start seeing in our electricity bill from these should more than offset that $12/month for 100% renewable energy.

Started taking a Magnesium supplement about a week ago or so, and I swear it's making me sleep deeper. Thanks to Scott Miller for the suggestion.
Had a dream that we had two new kittens that Scott named after DotA characters, and that Mark Macdonald was living in our spare room. Heh.
I need to start getting to bed earlier so I can get back into the habit of lucid dreaming again.
But I also need to start getting up earlier so I can do the real breakfast thing before school again. I totally enjoyed my egg and bacon this morning.
