SEMANA 2 - A little chivalry in the kitchen (life) goes a long way. SEMANA 3 - INTEGRITY MATTERS. Don't leave people "hanging" because of YOUR agenda and lack of consideration. - OWN UP to your mistakes and don't rob the glory of others SEMANA 5 - THROW IT against the wall and kill it (let the inner energy guide you when the probs come) - CONNECT with the people There are basics you HAVE to follow - DON'T FLIRT with blandness (i.e., a boring presentation)...be either hot or cold. Edge is good. - DON'T be "gay" - DON'T serve it raw (accurate assessment of tools and time and preparation are key) SEMANA 6 - SHUTTING DOWN in midterms is not good.. - RUNNING on "natural talents" and having the "I'm just that way (disorganized)" lifestyle soon catches up to you. Results: 1) It sets you off and makes you feel judged by the lenses of "Hell" 2) Leaves you sounding repetative and "contentless." - THERE IS A POINT when you feel that you were "doomed from the beginning" and after this comes paralysis. But you were not just a victim...you decided to agree with the voices. I've been thinking of these things concerning preaching, discipleship and overall ministry...not food...necessarily. SEMANA 7 - Give people a take away. - Not good to remember the man more than the food (for stars) - Don't overpromise or overshoot your presentation. - Don't be too in your face ("Who's your mama? I LOVE YOU!!!). - Whatever you're feeling...people can seeing. - Consider the vegetarians (audience). - Don't take credit for work you didn't do! SEMANA 8 - When everything goes wrong, are you able to improvize? - When everything goes wrong, how do you react? - Engage your team mate. Give them something to do. - Do you get snippy with your authorities and swear? - When presenting, you never really want your let your nerves show. - If you are a fast talker...as stress augments...purposefully slow down your speech - Speak slowly and your body will follow. - Be a joy to watch (this often is a result of taking counsel) - Its ok to let me know you don't have the answers...you figure it out...but you have to have fun while you're figuring it out. - Your habits are reflexes that show during moments of pressure. - Part of being a star is possessing a bit of unpredictability. - Dour and sour doesn't work. SEMANA 9 (went camping and missed the show! I used up a whole box of tissues) SEMANA 10 - If you fail. Fail at the right thing. - Have a title that tells people what you're doing (Ingredient Smuggler). - Be yourself - There comes a time for a leader to say: "You know the mission? My job is done" - At the end of a long "together experience" do a "everybody's funny quirks"...to cut the initial tension at the beginning of a presentation and also to create memories. - When we look for the stars we want to know who they are in their houses every week - we put the stars in a house together for 10 weeks. - New chapter of life + next challenge. - "plug and play receipe" (use language that hugs your audience and says, "everything will be alright...I 'feel' you) - Transformation happens when you go into a challenge and take counsel. - "When you talk about food I get so hungry." Speakers need to learn how to talk like this. - "Why should you be the next foodnetwork star?" Do you have an intelligent and persuading answer? - "Chicken in four steps." When possible and appropriate, simplify the topic for your audience.
