The exceptional Australian singer/songwriter and producer Julia Messenger has rapidly built a solid international name for herself and has been dubbed as the 'queen of chill'. Julia's songs and productions have appeared on numerous compilations in Europe and America alongside artists such as: Moby, Boozoo Bajou, Nitin Sawhney, Groove Armada, Ursula Rucker, Goldfrapp, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Zero 7, Rae & Christian, Joss Stone, Norah Jones, Bebel Gilberto and Julee Cruise to name just a few.
Through her collaborations with a number of major european artists - among others with legendary 'Klaus Schulze' of 'Tangerine Dream' and 'Alphaville'; 'Massive Attack' sound engineer/mixer Jeremy Allom; Henning Schmitz ('Kraftwerk'); Waldeck (Dope Noir); Hans Nieswandt (Whirlpool Productions); Soul G and Tony Match (Paris); Frank Elting (previously MRI, Berlin); and PFL aka Felix Wolter (Hannover), she is now seen as one of the rare strokes of luck in the electronic music scene. Her prolific output has attracted significant industry attention and she's enjoying airplay in Europe and America.
Julia is happy to have just released two album's on Itunes and other net sites: "Productions & Collaborations" and Julia's second solo album "And we Danced". On some of these tunes she's managed to co-produce with Christian Decker (Fury In The Slaughterhouse) and Felix Wolter (Vision, PFL). Her self titled solo album 'Julia Messenger', which she produced and wrote herself in 'Milk Bar' (her studio in Melbourne, Australia) was released in America in 2003 through Water Music LA/Universal records. Currently her collaborations include: "Saskia Hutch" (Berlin); MOD X (Paris); PFL (London & Germany). As well as a passion for working and writing with producers all over the globe, production itself is one Julia's fortes. When she is in Australia she spends most of the time in her studio.

"We all admire the spangled acrobat with classical grace meticulously walking his tight rope in the talcum light; but how much rarer art there is in the sagging rope expert wearing scarecrow clothes and impersonating a grotesque drunk! I should know." (Vladimir Nabokov)
Thank you for your friendship! Musical greetings from Munich/Germany!
Feel free to download my music, dear Julia!

Reflected Illusions, Aug 21, 2007:
Hey Julia, I was listening to "So Complicated" and I heard similar production "signatures" as I had heard on Goldfrapp's Felt Mountain and Waldeck's Night Garden. (I'm not sure about the accuracy of my interpretation though). Anyway, this whole thing made me check out your AMG creds and holy fuckin' shit! KS' The Crime of Suspense and Ballett 3?! surreal! I have triple respect for you now! so much so, that I just bought "Julia Messenger", "And We Danced" and "Productions and Collaborations"...
Keep groovin'
