Hey I just joined after learning about the club at Catalyst this year. Almost a year ago I sold my beloved 2002 Jetta that was tuned for a beautiful junky 1984 Rabbit Diesel. By selling the jetta and buying a rabbit I'm able to save almost $800 a month (Car payments, insurance, fuel) and have been able to give an impossible (at least in my mind) amount to an AIDS hospice in South Africa and then even visit Mamelodi where the hospice was for 10 days. it was by far one of the best choices I've ever made and I love my junky car. You can't beat 47 mpg and only 215k miles!
