I always thought I was more of a ninja type of guy, but today got me thinking... and I am pretty sure I am a pirate. Let me explain. Ninjas, although awesome are pretty secretive. Yes, they go around righting wrong and kickin butt; however, they usually take care of business in secret, quietly. Pirates on the other hand, also take care of business but they are loud and have a crew of loud and rowdies around them to help them with their battles. I was reading 2 Corinthians 5 and I came across this verse, "If we are out of our mind, it is for the sake of God..." What in the world does this verse have to do with pirates, I am not totally sure, but I have made a connection somehow so check it out... Pirates are bold and daring; also they always seem to be adventurous. They take chances and they definitely aren't afraid to fail. This is how I want to approach life, Bold & Daring. I want to be out of my mind for Christ. I want to be so compelled by His love for people that the things I attempt to do seem crazy and impossible. I am tired of being status quo and caring about what people think. I am convinced, similar to Paul, that One died for all and because of that sacrifice I choose to no longer live for myself but for His sake. I want to walk the plank of worldly failure and into the ocean of God's success.
