There was a verse today in my bible journey that really shook me. Deuteronomy 6:12, "Be careful not to forget the Lord..."
This got me thinking about my kid (who currently resides in my wife's belly region). In February, Jayce will pop out on the scene and I pray someday that he asks me about Jesus; and when he does I want my response to be similar to what the Israelites told their children, in verses 20 - 25.

"I was once a slave to this world, my weakness and my failures, but the Lord brought me out of that with His mighty hand. He did this right in front of everyone around me to see, the Lord did this amazing thing - powerful and life changing! The Lord commands me to obey Him and to respect Him. And son, if I am careful to obey Him and listen to His voice as He daily challenges me and grows me, that will be my true freedom. I do all of this because He is my savior and He has become the right to all of my many wrongs."
