I have to share a story, and please don't get offended if you use Nextel, but it is annoying. I don't know what is more annoying, the beeping phones or the people that allow the phones to continually beep while eating in a restaraunt. This is how the story goes...
Rachel, who is pregnant, was craving some good ole' home cooking at a local restaraunt called Mama Penns. So Rachel and I pulled up to the restaraunt, got seated by a very pleasant waitress, and began ordering our meal. At first there was an occassional beep, beep coming from a table in the far (beep, beep) corner and then before we knew it, there was 4 or 5 phones going crazy (beep, beep) (beep, beep). I tried to relax (beep, beep), but the constant barrage (beep, beep) of sonic insults continued to fly at my head (beep, beep). It was a struggle for me (beep, beep) to sit quietly and finish my meal (beep, beep). As we finished (beep, beep), I walked out in front of Rachel (beep, beep) to pull the car up for her (she stayed behind to pay). Guess who was standing (beep, beep) beside my car talking on the beeping phone - a Nextel user. As I walked toward (beep, beep) my car, I smiled at him (in between beep, beeps) jumped in my car, picked up my wife and rolled out of there.
This was a tremendous test of my patience and I am glad for the exerience, but wow! I know public restaraunts are not private, but I thought they would be considerate and courteous.
