Here is my blog today... short and sweet... small groups rule! What is a small group, glad you asked... It is a group of people who come together to encourage each other, grow spiritually together and just go through life together. Our church has a large service each Sunday and then encourages people to jump into a small group. The group shapes along the way of course, after 6 weeks if you dont fit or you want to try another group you can until you find one you somewhat fit into. I hate commercials, so I hope you dont think this is one, but I have been encouraged on a new level lately by my small group and I wanted to share. Rachel and I joined a small group a little while ago and they have blessed us out of control! We love hangin with them, but even more than that, they put their money where their mouth is. After we had the baby, they decided they would hook us up with meals for at least a week. I can not tell you what kind of a blessing that has been. They make me want to go out of my way to bless others. That is iron sharpening iron, you know. So wrapping it up, if you are thinking about joining a small group, do it. If you miss that kind of community & want it, ask your church about it, or start one, you will not be sorry. Chris Farley in Billy Madison said it best, "I know from personal experience..."
