Yesterday was AWESOME!
As most of you know, I live in Anderson, South Carolina and every once in awhile the city will do something really cool. Well, that was yesterday. I got wind of an air show happening at the airport. Rachel, baby J and I went (with a couple of friends) and I have to admit, it was pretty great. First, I thought it was going to be cheesy and I figured the turn out would be terrible. But I was proven wrong. About four miles before the airport, people had pulled off to the sides of the road and sat on their hoods and looked up and waited for the show to start. It was like watching an old movie where people pulled over to see a space shuttle launch or something, it was nostalgic. A couple of things happened that made the afternoon better than just okay...

#1 My pastor got a free parking pass from some one in our church, but decided not to go. So, I used it and it got me right up to the front.

#2 When we got there the V.I.P. room was stocked full of chicken strips, coke, beer, gatorade and these awesome litle cocolate truffle things. Free beer at an airshow... only in South Carolina.

#3 I got to do something fun and unique with my family.

#4 There was a rat tail sighting. That just makes me smile. Check it out, I got a picture of it in My Photos.
