I traveled to Atlanta this weekend and I realized something... I rarely wait. Seriously, I don't have to wait on anything. As I was leaving for Atlanta, I went to Hardee's and my wife and I started complaining because the order was taking "way too long". But was it really? Once I looked at my watch I noticed it had only been 8 minutes.Sure, fast food means food fast, but is it really important?
Here's the irony in this story - I have been reading lately about "waiting on the Lord". I have always tied this directly to Him moving me in a service or through my prayer/devo life, etc. But it hit me this weekend... "wait means "wait". Be patient, steady, kind and wait. Whoops!
Not just when it is convenient, but a a pattern in my life, God asks me to "wait". Wait on dreams, desires, prayer requests, and yes... even hamburgers!
