Music is my passion. I taught myself guitar when I was 10. I didnt stop there. I began writing songs and playing all of the band instruments: drums, bass, guitar, piano, percussion, harmonica, & violin. I enjoy writing songs about my world and all the things that happen in it. My music is a direct reflection of who I am. When I write, I go somewhere else, and I want to take people with me.
I had a rough childhood growing up, and I started to experiment with weaknesses and music pulled me above it all. I never considered myself to be the popular kid in my younger days. I had to deal with some difficult circumstances that most kids deal with. I became somewhat reclusive and dove into poetry and songwriting.
Music is a part of me. My songs are directly inspired by truth and love.
I want to do something beautiful, and I want to have a voice. My goal is to have the MOST fun in life and enjoy every minute. And there is NO better way FOR ME, than to write and perform my deepest feelings and thoughts, and whatever I want to say really, hoping to connect with other people.
I have recently had a terrible heartbreak and amazing love. These incredible experiences fuel my songs. I love that Im able to write my heart out when Im upset, and actually connect with people that are feeling the same way.
What Ive learned is that I can make a difference. I want to shine my light thru music and just being a good soul. I am a hardcore vegetarian and meditate daily. I love my 2 dogs and xbox 360 I rule call of duty 2 (WWII shooter) I was definitely in WWII in a past life. Im VERY close with my parents, especially my mother. Im currently residing in my hometown of Los Angeles, working on my debut record, due out in stores spring of 07 so look out!!
PEACE! JL
