Skateboarding and art has always been connected. From the beginning of skateboarding's birth artists have been putting their mark on a board. Beyond the art on the board its what is done on the board that is art in itself. Fluid motions and more, the style you bring to the table is as key as what you are doing, no matter how technical. Skateboarders know this, and so, start to see the world from this view. Everything you do has your style attached to it. It becomes an approach to life.
Because of this, its no accident that many skateboarders are artist as well. So many skateboarders have went on to have creative careers. Our community nurtures this talent, and it is the goal of this show to bring some of this talent out for display. Our local community has a wealth of talent both on and off the board.
Just 10 year anniversary party is this coming August 18th.
Just Skateboarding has always been a supporter of the Toledo scene. Join with us in our celebration of over 10 years of existence as a shop and in our creative scene that deserves its time to shine.
