Kallipolis is 20 year old Eric Neil Johnson. He enjoys writing music, and biographies in the third person. He began making melodic hip-hop in the summer of 2004 using fruity loops (under the moniker éma) . Soon after he began experimenting with IDM, using Ableton Live, under the influence of the major Warp artists of the time. He continued his experimentation and soon expanded, incorporating innumerable RAM hungry VSTis by Native Instruments. After being continually disappointed by Ableton Live copy protection, Eric purchased (it had been quite some time) a piece of software known as Renoise. Ecstatic as a result of total control and low resource consumption, Kallipolis was born.

Hey man, I'm gradually checking out a lot of your songs and I really like the hiphopcore one you posted on the boards and i really really like the "i'll always love you" one on here. Keep up the great work.

The emotion of these tracks are really sticking with me, they are getting quite under my skin. "I'll Always Love You" is really delivering the bliss and I've been playing it over and over again. I'm not a breakcore enthusiast, but I love the marriage of the beat speed and the emotional drama of the simple chords and pining melodies. You're onto something good here, and with a little tighter mixing and mastering you could have some electronica that dominates.
IF you ever want to a collab sometime just shoot me a message. I'd love to work with the elements you've got going on here. :)
Take care,
mmd
