This and steamy love affair between me and drum'n'bass started in 1999 when a mutual friend introduced us to each other. Being quite ignorant of her past I quickly started dwelling deep into the oldschool side of things and was discovering a whole new universe. Around the same time I started to realize the possibilities of doing music myself. Many ventures and wild experiments into IDM, drill'n'bass and metal occurred in the following years. This was not as experimental as it may sound, as in those years everything I did already had a specific source of inspiration in form of a track, a certain sound or a melody.
Now our relationship has progressed to a deeper level. It still possesses some of the sparkle from our early days, but more importantly we have a common goal to move things forward and we are parting on a quest to find something new. Now, I'm not saying I'm all about experimentalism or going to lands no man or woman has set foot upon, not at all. My sound is mostly borrowed but I still like to think that even the tiniest gust of 'fresh' can sometimes cause a storm of 'new' on the other side of the world. That is the way I try to evolve, one beat at a time.
Early on I found kindred spirits from close friends and we shared the love in form of a collective mind and dubbed it "USVA", which stands for a mist or a haze in my native. This project still comes to life once in a while when we gather round in a creative mood.
One thing has created a crack in this love between me and drum'n'bass however: The fact that I don't do DJ gigs. I just never got around to start, being so preoccupied with producing - but who knows, maybe someday you will see me mixing.
This is Kama, over and out.

Music from ambient to metal, but mostly drum and bass. Full moon on a snowy forest, purring cats, THC, silence, July, gas masks, Babylon, movies, the color red, sandpapered wood, literature, 36Hz and all that. You know, the good things in life
