Kastor is a dubstep dj/producer/promoter from Antwerp, Belgium. Active in the electronic dancemusic-scene since the late nineties, he was partying at a young age on the sounds of Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Carl Craig & Jeff Mills.
Since 2005, his attention shifted to Dubstep - which was gaining momentum for a few years and exploded in that year. The unmatched vibe of this bass-heavy offspring of Garage/2-step took him on a trip through hard-to-find vinyl releases and dubs, spread as high-resolution mp3's - called 320's in the jargon.
He's been playing in- and outside of Belgium among the biggest names: Vex'd, Rusko, Mary Ann Hobbs, Virus Syndicate, Distance, Chef, Scuba, Hatcha, Slimzee, Loefah, Hijak, Random Trio, Reso, Marlow, Milanese to name just a few.
In 2006 he started his highly successful dubstep nights: Untitled! He was the first one ever in Antwerp to bring this format to the masses and the crowd approved!
He earned residencies on Soulshine Festival & Moonbass and played on big parties like Laundry Day and the Petrol Club because of his intimate knowledge and love for the sounds of underground electronic music.
