About

I am a young woman thriving in the dry winds of the Texas panhandle. My every day life is simple, very easy going, and full of friends and coffee. I have three passions: music, literature, and art. I have always enjoyed singing; things like that just come natural when you come from a musical family. From piano lessons with my grandmother, being a band nerd throughout Middle and High School, to studying the art and technicality of music at South Plains College, I have grown to realize that music is something that will always be a part of me.
When I was a little girl, I took an interest in songwriting. I remember sitting at the piano playing the same old thing over and over and over and over... thus writing and memorizing songs. (My poor parents!) Then, my dad bought me a guitar when I was thirteen. It took about a year before I was struck with a sudden passion to play it, and when that passion hit, it was an atomic bomb. I would play the same three chords for hours and never get bored for a second. I remember sitting in class at school, anxiously waiting for the lunch bell to ring so that I could go home and play guitar. Then, after playing throughout my full hour-long lunch break, I would run out the door with a sandwich in hand and three minutes left to get to class. I would secretly write songs in my room after my family went to sleep; back then, I was very shy to sing in front of others. It's wonderful how God has miraculously brought me a long way from that. By golly, many years have brought much change. I have gained much from many vocal, guitar, and piano lessons, but I would have to say that most of my knowledge was received by making friends with fellow music-lovers.
Now, I have been performing in front of audiences for over three years, and I love every bit of it. It is wonderful how things have come together. Imagine: from a timid girl writing songs in the quiet of her room, to a young woman playing her tunes in a coffee shop. I am delighted that God's love for my life leads me by giving me opportunities and experiences that mature me into a woman after his own heart.
