Keith gave a 65 rating to Night Owl Pumpkin Ale
Not bad. It’s light and spicy, not a ton of pumpkin flavor.

Keith gave an 80 rating to White Lighting
Pours a nice light golden amber with a fizzy tan head that fades away quickly. Lots of action on the pour, I expect lots of carbonation.
It’s is very carbonated and has a light body. It’s got a nice, refreshing flavor though. Lots of citrus and a hint of spice. Almost like a very mild, wheaty, cider with a nice crisp finish.

I've been struggling to come to terms with my negative feelings towards running my own business and ultimately not succeeding. (Notice: I didn't call it a failure.) I've got few regrets, some hard feelings and I'm financially damaged because of the experience, but what tainted it the most has nothing to do with any of that. No, I think the root of my issues lie in the fact that I lost sight of what I wanted to get out of it, and lost site of what made me happy. In essence I set aside my passions for, what I thought at the time, was in the best interest of keeping the business going. Read on...

Keith gave a 72 rating to Eel River Acai Berry Wheat
A bit thin and light on flavor, this one is nevertheless fairly refreshing, which is what I was in the mood for. Not bad, but certainly not all that memorable. The berry flavor is really, really light, and that’s a good thing in my mind.

Keith gave an 82 rating to Lucky 13
A big strong red with lots of character and flavor. It’s not to heavy, but has quite a kick. Starts of with a dark malty sweetness that’s very quickly cut with powerful hops. If you’re looking for flavor, this is right up your alley.

Keith gave an 86 rating to Union Jack IPA
Beautiful pour, nice light orange/amber with a light fluffy head. Taste is very nice; complex with some bitterness riding behind a nice caramel malt. Hits of citrus and a bit of a floral herbs, maybe an oak barrel? Feels nice, a lit oily, and fairly light. It goes down pretty easy, it’s a bit aggressive, but not at all overwhelming. Good stuff!

Keith gave a 75 rating to Mirror Mirror
The April 2009 vintage: Pours ruby brown with lots of bubbles and a nice thick, foamy head. It’s pretty strong, you can really taste the alcohol. It’s sweet with a bitter aftertaste, pretty complex in flavor, lots of dried fruit, spice and malty sweetness. All of it is a bit overshadowed by the strong alcohol bite.

Keith gave a 91 rating to Bourbon County Stout
Drinking the 2008 version.
This is a very sexy looking brew. Pours oily and inky black, looks very smooth coming out of the bottle. Has a thin dark tan head. Oh my god. This is some good stuff!! Sort of sweet, but with a really interesting flavor. You can certainly taste the bourbon, but I find it really appealing. It’s, wow, hard to describe. Tasty, sweet, sort of coffee, actually reminds me of Kahlua a bit, but in a good way. This is a yummy brew. Has a real nice smooth and oily mouthfeel as well.

Keith gave an 88 rating to White Frog Ale
Pours a light white/gold with a light frothy head. Head has good retention and nice lacing. Has a bit more flavor than some other whites, and it goes down easy. Lots of spice in here; some citrus, herbs and wheat too. Very nice.

Drank from a bottle in the sun. Good stuff, this Sunrye. Medium-bodied, slightly sweet with nice malt flavor and a hint of rye.

Keith gave an 86 rating to Allagash White
Pours a nice bright yellow with a light fluffy head. Taste is mild and crisp, refreshing. A bit more on the hoppy end than other whites, giving it a rich distinct taste. Very good.

Keith gave an 87 rating to Full Sail Imperial Porter (Brewmaster Reserve 2009)
Pours inky black with very little head. What’s there is dark brown and laces nicely to the glass. It’s got a nice malty, burnt cocoa sweetness mixed with a bit of bitter coffee. Oily mouth-feel that feels really nice going down. It’s silky, oily and smooth. Really nice.

A nice balanced pale. Nice hop kick, but not too overwhelming.
