In brief, I am an average-ish twenty-something, living is Boston, Mass. I have a wife (my college sweetheart, Alyssa) and two cats (Ghost and Goblin). I make my living 9-5 as a front-end web developer mashing away at the fidgity bits between design, interaction, and app.
I also have my own freelance-y web dev business (starting it up would be most correct) - Alembic Laboratories - to flex my more creative muscles and get a little extra career development (and money) in my free time. I love doing web stuff.
As for being in Boston, my wife (then fiance) and I moved from Lancaster, PA (where I was originally from... no I am not Amish... and where we both went to college) to study at Boston University School of Theology on a full scholarship. I got myself a Masters of Theological Studies in Biblical and Historical Studies (subconcentration in late medieval to early modern mysticism, esotericism, magic and alchemy) for my trouble. Wee!
My wife and I (as average, urban-dwelling, married twenty-somethings) throwing cocktail parties, bar-hopping with other, boring, married 20-something couples, watching lots of movies, playing boardgames and party-style video games with friends (often while drinking port), making day-trips to places around New England, and reading. I like retro/indie gaming, history, and play a mean game of Settlers of Catan. I like Sonic the Hedgehog, and hope to be an 8 or 16 bit video game character when I grow up. For fun, I study alchemy and demonology. No... seriously.

I have been busy as crap since I have been on VIRB in any active capacity. Sad to say, but true.
Well, not sad... we went to Sweden and Iceland and that ruled. Since we brought the lappy and was busy putting together shit in iPhoto (dumping megs and megs of …
Back in the States Jul 13, 2007
Well, radio silence has been in place for a little bit, it seems - I was getting prepped for a nice 2+ week vacation with my wife to Sweden (most of it) and Iceland (last 3 days).
It was super awesome.
Aside from running around like crazy all through Sweden …
Less of me... in a good way Jun 4, 2007
Hey all-
Well, I am actually successfully loosing weight. And that is very good news to me!
I joined an office pool of sorts at work to loose weight - all of us (9) pitched in $40 to see who would loose the most weight in terms of % of body weight lost. Sure …
Ah... being an alumnus May 7, 2007
Well, as nostalgic 20-something, you start to feel some fond tug at your heartstrings when it comes to your old alma mater. Particularly, I supposed, if you went to a tough, small, liberal arts college in suburban Pennsylvania.
My wife and I went to Franklin & …
My lover-ly new macbook May 1, 2007
Well, I tried this before, but with working intermittently, something timed out. I will reduced the dialog to a listing of dates and events:
April 6 - At Pittsburgh Airport (ghetto - no wireless but in the one area) on the way to visit family. My iBook G4 …
Blogging with my wii. Apr 12, 2007
Well, technology has advanced far enough, it is safe to say, that even fairly ad hoc devices are designed to get us online and communicating. Sure, people hacked DS's and PSP's back before they were officially web-ready, but the Wii is fully webernated.
nothing make you feel fatter than eating several pounds of easter ham Apr 8, 2007
Well, just kickin' it in Pennsylvania (out where my lovely wife is from). Nothing too crazy except I had a miserable flight (canceled right when we were walking out the door to take a cab to the airport - then rerouted through NYC - screaming children abound - …

European life is treating me well. It is also coming quickly to a close. I've got about three months left. It'll be good to be stateside again, but some things will be difficult to leave behind. Hey, I was looking through your pictures on the other site a while back and you know the one in Salzburg of Jesus and two angels on the wall of a building between four windows? If you're looking up at that and turn left, you'll be looking straight up at my window. ;-)

See, I've learned new things about you already: the names of your cats and your interests in Alchemy and Demonology. Facinating.

Hoping around the customizations and thought yours is really well done. Very simple but clever. Love (read: jealous of) the comment bar.
