worship leader. intercessor. psalmist.mentor. songwriter.
To know the heart of Kelli Brownlee is to know a heart that seeks the presence of God. With experience in the local church (worship leader, minister of music, armorbearer, youth leader) as well as the national contemporary gospel scene,(background vocalist/songwriter) Kelli is known for the rich tone and depth of her voice that bellows out in a alto/tenor tone, and can unexpectedly crossover into a light, operatic-like falsetto. She's appeared on albums such as Deitrick Haddon presents Voices of Unity: All Star Edition (which won a Stellar Award), and other projects by artists such as Dorinda Clark Cole, the late Chris Jones, Joe Smith, and other independent artists. She acknowledges music as being the way God speaks to her and the way she best expresses his love to others. After suffering a miscarriage in March 2008, Kelli testifies of experiencing the love of God in a way she never had prior to this loss. "After losing Christian, God began to give me glimpses of the future he had in mind for me. Suddenly, life made more sense. I just GOT IT. I'm called to sing the song of the Lord. I'm called to be that voice crying out in the wilderness. Im not interested in fame; I'm interested in revival." In her spare time Kelli enjoys reading, journaling, drinking coffee, and daydreaming. She feels her greatest accomplishment is marrying a main of integrity and faith and being a mother to a beautiful son. She's married to Ben (musician/producer/graphic design artist) and they're expecting their second child, a daughter in August.
