Ken Myers has been recording electronic music since 1990, and is visible in many online independent artist music circles. His music has been described as an aural tapestry of exotic soundscapes,and is designed for relaxation and stress reduction. His use of electronic sound textures and acoustic orchestral instruments and loops makes his music right at home for film soundtrack and other visual arts.
An earlier producer of R&B tunes, smooth jazz pieces and cinematic orchestral works, Ken's versatility shows in his compositions. Using light percussion as a backdrop, his careful layering of sound sources define his style as 'ambient new age', or as he prefers to call it 'musical soundscapes'. Whatever it is called his works have been referred to as both refreshing and bold, or 'hauntingly beautiful'.
"My work is not eligible for any top 40 chart ran and manipulated by some corporate record company. Nor am I trying out for American Idol. I'm just not into that mentality. I compose music based on the images that flash in my head of memories of people,places, or things I have experienced. These compositions sometimes relate to other people like project film makers looking for a score, or just people who unexpectedly find that these pieces make them relax. Above all, my love of music keeps me going."
Ken Myers is currently shopping his music around to various film makers and occasionally doing rearranging and remixes for up and coming recording artists of all genres.

New CD coming soon Jan 10

Releasing new CD,"Still Life", a continuation of my 'music for film' series and probably the most ambient of my projects to date. It combines very relaxing, theme-based textures with an occasional venture into neo-classical new age sentiment, which features some of my more lyrical compositions inspired by the works of Tim Story, film composer Thomas Newman and classical composers Gerald Finzi and Ralph Vaughn Williams.
