Nick Drake article Jun 6
"I always say that Nick was born with a skin too few," said Gabrielle Drake of her dead brother. And this description is probably the most accurate we will ever get of Nick Drake. Even so, this tragic folk songwriter was much more than his doomed, solitary image portrays. Behind Drake was a man, a man of talents, fears, humor and love.
Bright Eyes, Elliott Smith, The Thermals, Andrew Bird, Arcade Fire, Of Montreal, The New Pornographers, Belle & Sebastian, the Arctic Monkeys, Jenny Lewis, Death Cab For Cutie, Johnathan Rice, the Kooks, Muse, the Postal Service, Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, the Jack Whites.

have you heard of jambase.com? it's really cool, you just sign up and then you get like a list of your favorite bands that are playing in your area. they look at the bands on your last.fm profile and your itunes library and it's really cool if you're the kind of person that likes to go to lots of concerts. so check it out. p.s. i am not a spokesperson for jambase.com either

my sister got muse tickets and they are floor seats. she said that if my other sister can't go then i can have the tickets. wahoo, i just had to shove that in someone's face. you and hutch should get tickets. i heard matt bellamy throws his guitars to people in the audience so i might get lucky, if i get to go. my sister said she spent like $300 for two tickets!
