third

Been wanting to put a new blog post up here, so here it go.
Read the first two blog posts, and here's what's happened recently (that I can think of off the top of my head...)
-Never paid that cell phone bill. Went back to the prepay phone.
-Saw Transformers. I admit that it wasn't perfect, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's out on DVD and HD DVD now by the way, and I don't know if I'll get either. I really want to get a better computer and download it (legally.) But I don't know of anyplace that has it to download.
-Speaking of downloads, a while back I was wanting to buy Melina Jones's CD, "Swearing Off Busters." I knew iTunes had it for download there, but I still like having the case to see the credits and what samples they used and how they thanked God and their mama and whatnot. But I couldn't find the CD in any store. Then I looked beyond my monitor and saw the stacks of CDs that I'd ripped to my computer and therefore would probably never actually play again. They were just sitting there taking up space and collecting dust.
So I downloaded "Swearing Off Busters" from iTunes. And I suggest you do the same. It's an awesome CD. I recently bought "The World Has Made Me The Man Of My Dreams" by Meshell Ndegeocello the same way.
-Same job. Temp job. Not even temp to hire. No benefits. Can only last two years. And whenever they run out of work they send me home. Need to find a new job.
However the job is pretty laid back and pays rather well.
-Same car. Big ol Chevy station wagon. Not my style at all. Alot more than I need and alot of problems with it. However, I did just recently find out that one of the spark plug wires wasn't plugged up and now that it's adressed the car does run alot smoother. So I don't mind holding on to it for a bit while I look for another.
-Was at a local rent to own store looking at TVs and computers. I asked if any of them could get me a Mac a little while ago. Most said "We don't carry them." This particular one said "I'll see what I can do." Well, one day they had an Xbox 360 for about three hundred bucks. Core system. Wired controller. Regular A/V hookup. But it had a hard drive. And it was way close to retail price for a rent to own store. So I rented it. Well, come to find out it was defective. It wouldn't play any Xbox 360 games. It would play DVDs and CDs. And thank goodness it had the hard drive and I had high speed internet (even though it was just DSL) so I could download demos, Xbox Live Arcade games and the code to play original Xbox games on it or I would've been SOL. Anyway, they found me a loaner and swapped out the systems while the first wasa sent to Microsoft for repairs. Got it back (or rather another system, or at least another hard drive, cause there was different stuff on it) a little bit ago, so I got me a 360. Just bought the VGA cable so I can play in high definition on a computer monitor. It's a smaller picture than on the twenty five inch RCA, but it looks alot better.
Other than that, been trying to pay bills and save money. Failing at saving money, but somehow Praise God the bills are being paid. Trying to come up with forty buck to pay the ballance for a trip to New York this December, along with some spending money. Looking for a new computer. And a new car. And a new job. And someone to use that XLounge Gift Certificate with. I may come back soon with an update...
