It's in 2,000 that Mathieu Hocine give birth to the project "Kid Francescoli". Quickly joined by Laetitia Abello (singing), then David Borras (keyboards) and Olivier Scalia (bass), they give their first gigs in 2004.
Behind the melody omnipresence, Kid Francescoli offers intimists texts sung in english or italian, dealing with the young man's angsts and the dreams from a young girl at the dawn of their 30 years. The brit-pop, its short format, its tenacious refrains and its instrumental felt well, gives the sound matter of the group somewhere between Air and Grandaddy... While the italian penisula is a source of inspiration for the pop group from Marseilles, cradle by Cinecitta and Ennio Morricone's sound tracks.
After promising beginnings on stage, especialy during the Marsatac 2005 festival, the group is doing his first national tour (Paris, Marseilles, Bordeaux, Rennes, Nice...) in may 2006, sharing the stage with artists such Sebastien Schuller or Troy Von Balthazar. Kid Francescoli have just released his first album.
