About
Formed in 2002 in Kouvola, Finland by Koskinen brothers. Kivimetsän Druidi has so far recorded three demos: Kristallivuoren Maa (2002), Taival (2004) and The New Chapter (2007) and one Ep called Mustan Valtikan Aika (2006).
Since 2004 KmD has had a full 7 member line up. In 2005 the drummer Jani Rämä was replaced by Ville Ryöti. A few months later in spring 2006 basist Jouni Riihelä was replaced by bass-virtuóso Simo Lehtonen. In the end of 2006 band keyboardist Lukas and drummer Ville decided to leave band due to other projects and interests. After a few-months search KmD found new drummer, he's called Atte Marttinen. From now on the line-up is full and complete with 6 members.
Kivimetsän Druidi plays Symphonic Folk Metal with influences from various sub-genres of metal like thrash and therefore has their own unique sound - the lyrics are in finnish and english. The overall sound is evolving towards more brute and crushing riffs, but at
the same time the contrast between "the beauty and the beast" -theme is getting more visible.
In November Kivimetsän Druidi went to NoiseCamp Studio in Turku once more to record their fourth official demo cd. Three songs are recorded: 1. Blacksmith, 2. Jäässä Varttunut and 3. Veljet (re-recorded version). They are quite satisfied with the outcome that is named 'Taottu'.

Hello there!
I'm Céline from Belgium. As you can see, I'm a fan of Kivimetsän Druidi, a metal folk band from Finland. I'm one of their first fan (I've known them for nearly 3 years when nobody knew them ^^). I discovered the band with the song Pohjoinen Mahti and I directly loved it (now it's still one of my favourite with Koston Miekka). I had a Myspace for Belgium but I had unfortunatly too much problem with it (some hacker on my account??? - I just want to know where and how my site disapeared suddently!). I've had contact with the members of the band (especially Jevgenia and Joni - the singers) and their manager (who is actually Joni's and Antti's father). They are really nice people, really friendly with their fans and plenty of talent.
