With the box office needing some cash desperately, its time for summer blockbusters to get people away from the nice weather outside and in the movie theater for some much needed action and suspense. Here is my quick review of the first summer blockbuster to kick off 2008, Marvel Studios' Iron Man!

True Life: I'm K.L. Smith

I was born in Milwaukee, WI. My mother was young my father much older. She looked for stability and family early, and he fit the bill. She left with me when I was two to find a life as an adult. I was raised by my grandma most of the time while my mother pursued a life that was perfect for her and me. I was an easy child, put me in front of the T.V. and you would never hear a word. I was never one to go and make friends, I was an only child most of my life and used my wild imagination to entertain myself. I was a huge day dreamer, my mind was always running wild with thoughts. I was always dreaming of saving the day, and the extraordinary. Obvioulsy I fell in love with superhero's, all of them. I couldn't get enough of comics, movies, action figures, cartoons, you name it.

I came out of my shell in grade school and became quite social to my family's dibelief. As i grew so did my body, I got taller, stronger, faster, bigger. I once dreaded sports, now suddenly I am up late at night shooting hoops in the driveway and playing football while running track at school. I loved the competition, I loved trying to prove myself amongst a group of people as well as the drama and storylines that could lead into an event or an athlete.

I now attend UW-Whitewater for a business degree. I came hoping to join a sports team at the university and doing good in school. What I ended up doing was joining a fraternity (A good decision) and ending up in debt because I was out of work (bad decision). I moved into my fraternity house after my freshman year, but sadly it burned down in winter of 2007. Those of us that were in the house got out safely, and it sadly caused our fraternity to grow apart and dismantle in 2008.

Cash rules everything around me sometimes. I have an apartment right now with two of my fraternity brothers, and our girlfriends. We are constantly on the go with work and school, but we always make time for leisure. We tend to party too hard sometimes but we have a reputation to live up to. Me and my roomates are huge movie critics. We are constantly watching movies, whether it be an independant drama to a summer blockbuster. You can read my reviews of recent films in my blog. I would love to be playing professional football - arena preferably, its my dirty little secret. I also love video games as well writing music. I would like to try my hand at film making from producing to directing to possibly acting, the whole deal. I have quite an eye and I have many film making ideas. I'm just so lazy that I do not take the initiative to write a full screen play, last time I did that was high school. Anyways, maybe I'll get back to work on it.
