hi. i'm kristin.

i live in saint louis, missouri 467 miles away from the west coast of lake michigan where i grew up. 306 miles from so many dear friend in chicago and a warehouse studio where i slept on a bed of rags with newspaper sheets while michael played the trumpet with a toilet plunger for a mute and david v. played heart and soul on the mellotron. 1202 miles from the house in boston where i spent a cold winter with hot tea. 2053 miles from the pier where i saw sea lions bark and snort and 2055 miles from the mile of steps we climbed to the top of the hill just to see the bay at night. 1814 miles from The Bayou where we climbed orange trees at dusk and tossed our prizes down to waiting hands, missing half of the juicy missiles in the fading light as we doubled over with laughter, pulp dripping from our fingers.

this was the best live musical "thing" i've seen. 10 drummers, trash can lids, bottles, shakers, magic.

Yeah it is mineral, that song has my favorite lyrics...I love mineral and the gloria record..im finding more often than not, people who hear mineral for the first time are really put off and say the vocals are whiney.....mineral....few and far between.
