I must say that Virb does, generally, rock, but there's one thing I miss severely: a good "Friends' updates" view.
Why I can't quite get "addicted" to Virb: it won't let me see, easily, what my friends have been doing recently. That, to me, is what a social networking site like this should emphasize.
Take Livejournal: the best feature of LJ by far, in my opinion, is the /friends/ page -- it lists all the journal posts by all your friends. Never has there been an easier way to keep track of your friends' updates; and I'm including the last few years' RSS feeds, aggregators, Facebook and Twitter in that.
What Virb does offer in this regard is far too limited and inconvenient. I don't get any actual data from the overview page; I still have to click on each person to see what it actually is that they updated or added.
Facebook's Home page overview is pretty powerful, with its whole Preferences setup, but other than people's Notes and shared items, I don't get too much useful or interesting stuff out of it. Sure, sometimes a group join-event is useful as I may want to join that group myself. Still, there's a reason I'm to this day a pretty active Livejournal user.
Virb could take a cue from that, because I know I'm not the only one among my circle of friends who feels this way about it.
