Any human visitors or spambots coming to this site may have noticed my sporadic postings dating back to 2005⦠not to mention the default design template being used.
That's about to change.
This week while on vacation I have been chipping away at improving my blog: adding new categories, a blogroll, Flickr photos, RSS feed, Google Analytics. Although I nearly blew away all my previous posts while upgrading Wordpress, I'm getting excited about keeping this vehicle maintained.
Sitting by the pool, relaxed, and with a clear head, I came up with a few ideas for a logo. Playing off the name of the blog "No Time to Burn," I initially wanted to create a clock on fire. This seemed pretty logical, but I thought it may be hard to create, as my artistic skills (and free time) have dropped a few notches over the years.
Then it hit me⦠find a digital display looking font, and have it read "NT:TB" - simple, yet effective.
Step 1 - Complete!
Step 2 - Create logo and color scheme (in progress)
Step 3 - Tinker with Wordpress template (the hard part)
Step 4 - More tinkering
Other to-dos:
- Install plugin to reduce the vast amount of comment spam I still get (even though comments are disabled)
- Add social bookmarking icons
- Create a favorites icon
- Meta tags (description and keywords)
