L-20 concept idea started the day I discovered this article of the public health law. The protection of the sources whatever they are seems to me essential. Far from all political movements, it is a state of mind, a daily attitude and a reality in the acts more than in the speeches. We can easily make the analogy with the work of composition because the greatest source of inspiration is in the knowledge of the original or past musics. If these sources are not preserved, the generating matter of creation will disappear. Another possible comparision is the work of sampling. With the base of my music, it consists in making reborn a sample extract while inserting it in a new piece. It look like the cycle of the water which enables him to revive once its course completed. For this first album I used the experience gained near Arab musicians and drew my inspiration with the sources of their music by using recordings of traditional music. The mixing between my cultural "pop" origins and the influences of the up to date electro scene give an "Electro world" result close to the "after hours" time of the Iberian islanders coffees. I hope that you will take as much pleasure to listen to this album than I had of it to compose.
