About
Hailing from the mountains of middle America, Lafayette is an instrumental post-rock group born and raised in Denver, CO. The groups formed in 2005 with brothers Andrew and Tristan Porter putting forth new efforts to create music in the best way they knew how. The sound that followed fused the brother's history of rock and roll with a new fresh take on experimental indie instrumental music. Fans of groups such as Unwed Sailor, The Appleseed Cast, Sigur Ros and Explosions in the Sky will find accord with the peaceful melodies and dynamic live performance Lafayette presents. Now joined with bassist Justin Shelp, Lafayette is working on new material for the follow up album to Transformations released in May 2007.
